Well, I think we can be fairly certain those aren’t demographics that bought his jersey. Unless they’re having a giant jersey burning party.

Perfect postseason, record for longest SB kick, wouldn't have thought it possible but I appreciate HB7 even more than I already did! All-time best Chiefs kicker, and I don't think it's particularly close. At this point, I hope he plays his entire career for the Chiefs.

ChiefsFanatic 05-18-2024 06:51 AM

Man, I want Mitchell Schwartz to punch this FN antisemite in his FN face.

I want Butker to say all this shit straight to the face of Brooke Schwartz. Say that antisemitic crap right to a woman with a very large Jewish husband.

Nobody can touch him. And it just pisses them right off.

Be mad on Twitter all you want - he does not care even a little bit.

It's pretty much textbook 'impotent rage' on social media right now. The fact that this simply won't phase him one bit makes his vocal detractors all the more angry.

I love how he is standing up for his faith and convictions....the fact that those who oppose him aren't really able to touch him probably pisses them off even more.

The "rage" on Facebook is almost hilarious.....with the "if you agree with Harrison Butker please block me" it sure made it easy for me to cull down my already small friends list.

I was telling my wife about the faux rage and she just rolled her eyes. When I mentioned the whole "make a sandwich" comment she lust laughed....then said...you know what I am getting hungry and I think I am going to make a sandwich for lunch...you hungry for one too?

Irony...LMAO

Just saw Harrison on a podcast clip discussing the aftermath. Apparently, he and his wife discussed this and he was fully prepared to step away from football if necessary to use his platform to help address the insanity he sees going on in the world.

This dude is as legit as it gets, and anyone with a single negative thing to say about him is braindead human garbage. End of conversation.

Are you saying disagreeing with his takes is negative? I feel like your comment probably belongs in the swamp thread, but curious what the context is to your statement.

You can disagree with his takes all you want, I’m referring to the people who decided to try and ruin his life and end his career over this, when half of them probably didn’t even listen to the speech, and the ones that did certainly didn’t understand the perspective he was coming from as a devout Catholic speaking to other devout Catholics.

The Mob doesn’t seem to understand it’s not illegal to have these beliefs, and the people raging about it are complete idiots. That’s really all there is to it.

I sincerely hope this is a joking sarcastic post.

Anyone who honestly thinks Butker was being anti-Semitic has a problem, a learning disability type of problem.

Someone would have to purposely put max effort into being stupid to reach that conclusion.

I'm assuming this is a typo and you meant to put Mitch's wife there. I haven't seen Mitch himself comment, I've only seen the ignorant rant from his idiot wife.

All she did was cut and paste crap from the media. I highly doubt she took the time to listen to the actual speech or read the transcript.

Not surprised he believes the things he said. I already knew he was a pretty extreme in some of his views. Didn't really care before or now. I do think it's weird he chose a commencement to get on his soap box. People keep saying he was a catholic speaking to other catholics, but the institution sure didn't think what he said was appropriate so I don't think he really was reading the room.

Side note, I'm willing to bet that most people who are cheering him on are the first to tell people like LeBron James to "stick to sports".

Honestly, social media has brought out the worst in all sides...and attention whoring seems to be a problem with many.

Oddly enough the target mentality of people seems to have backfired....most who raged at first believed themselves to powerful that they were sure they could get him cancelled.

Sometimes a fools journey....

everyone knows that when the biggest social media sites have to ban people, then that is a good thing! It's especially good when government pays companies to ban people because when the feds do it, that means it's righteous! Censorship is a tool that is ALWAYS used for good.

You are assigning your own beliefs and being intolerant.

You are not a moral arbitrator of religious beliefs. Saying you disagree is one thing, saying what he said was “horrible” is another.

Duh. They have to fill their enrollment quota next year. Of course they’d bend a knee to this kind of public opinion. What else are they going to do?

To be clear it was the sisters of the order that founded the school. Not the administration.

You belief structure is subjective to the whims of society. Aka you lack moral conviction in your own beliefs. They basically come and go as society dictates.

So yeah,

I’m not tolerant of your weak convictions and subjective belief system. In fact I loath them. It’s the hallmarks of a weak man or woman.

So with that distinction and the fact that he received a standing ovation, do you now understand the point that he was preaching to the choir?

The context of what he said was that a recent antisemitism bill would enable law enforcement to arrest people for claiming Jews killed the Christ character. This is blatant misinformation. Why would Butker mislead impressionable students? Was he confused or misled?

Ok pal you sure pinned me down with the facts there.

Standing ovation doesn’t mean there was unanimous agreement. I’m sure you’ve read or listened to reactions from women in the audience who weren’t thrilled with the message.

There’s two separate threads in DC for people to whine and complain about his religious/political beliefs, but a couple of these pansies just want to keep crying about it over here.

This thread is to talk about the best kicker in the NFL, the best kicker in Chiefs history, and the all time Super Bowl record holder for most FG’s and longest FG. If people can’t appreciate Butker, then they go fist the kicker who shall remain nameless’s old dirty bunghole.

All I'm saying his expressed views were not typical catholic views and not even the views of the nuns at the institution where he was speaking.

Yes. Butker misunderstood the bill just like a huge number of others did. I won't give him a free pass for it but that's quite a bit different than accusing someone of antisemitism.

Make no mistake though, I'll call him out for being lazy for not doing his own research on that before putting it in his speech.

(Btw, he and others fail to realize the bill is the exact same wording as an executive order from years ago that is already being enforced. So basically, it's a giant nothing burger)

Well one thing is for sure, god is on his side 😂

I can see the perspective of both people here. Butker was making the case that ultra orthodox Catholicism is under attack and using all the evidence he could find - true or not. Ms. Schwartz felt Jews were being persecuted and interpreted Butker’s comments as false information against a bill that would have worked to protect Jews.

Both probably wrong and misled. I don’t think we should call either stupid because misinformation affects everyone.

Being outraged about something you don’t understand is arguably worse than misunderstanding the implications of a law

Unmarried women are a real issue in this country. 90% of them don’t even understand conditional hypotheticals

You do understand Women have no authority in the Catholic Church right?

RealSNR 05-18-2024 03:30 PM

So shall we send the thread dedicated to celebrating Butker's football accomplishments to DC?

If those views are so outside of the norm, why did he receive a standing ovation?

I think you're just making assumptions based on your own experience.

Correct,

I’m disgusted by the sheer lack of self respect people saying they are outraged are showing. You are a ****ing lemming and arguable a bigot if you let someone’s religious beliefs outrage you.

It’s the same low IQ morons always getting whipped into a frenzy when their world views are challenged.

And? Doesn't really matter who founded the school (though kudos to those Sisters for founding a college), they gotta pay the bills, and that means kids have to enroll and pay their tuitions, no?

I’d say you’re mischaracterizing something as outrage because Ms. Schwartz called Butker’s speech gross and backwards- hardly the language of someone that’s outraged. If you take that false characterization out of there, the things you are comparing are the same things. They both misunderstood something and spoke on it as fact.

You really graduated clown college at the top of the class didn’t you?
