Don't most decent shows present their characters as "operating in the gray area" as to make them relatable/realistic? BCS is outstanding across the board, but I'm not sure they should get extra credit (or defining credit) for doing what good shows/books typically do.

Doesn't happen nearly enough. Especially with side characters. Probably explains the rise of superhero movies where there's a clear hero and a clear villain. Lots of shows/movies these days seem to pick sides. Frank Underwood in House of Cards, for example, is 100% sleazeball. Lots of movies/shows made lame attempts to force some gray area.

And Gilligan does more than just make his characters relatable. Most of his characters seem to have fatal flaws. And it's amazing to watch his progression. I remember when he forced the Marie shoplifting storyline in season 1 of BB. Gilligan has you rooting against the good guys like Hank and Chuck, two guys who generally do the right thing, but their fatal flaw bugs the crap out of a lot of people. That's pretty amazing character development.

From a website, but I forget which, I just copied the interesting tidbit.

I don’t typically like anagram theories, but this one is too hard to resist. A Redditor, cassieboy81, rearranged all the episode titles this season, and came up with a mind-blowing possibility:

Fifi
Rebecca
Inflatable
Nailed
Gloves Off
Switch
Bali Ha’i
Amarillo
Cobbler
Klick

“Fring’s Back.”

Back from the dead.

Gilligan and Gould confirmed this today on the Rich Eisen Show.

I was yelling at my TV: "DON'T TELL HIM! DON'T TELL HIM!".

:cuss::cuss::cuss: Damn Chuck!

Pretty hard to be on "team chuck" these days. Jimmy = white whale. He's about to create a monster that didn't need to be created.

notorious 04-18-2016 09:15 PM

I am guessing that Chuck is going to require Jimmy to drop the family name if he continues to practice.

notorious 04-18-2016 09:26 PM

Vince Gilligan just said that they don't have anything mapped out or planned out when it comes to story or introducing BB characters. He said it would be easier to pre-plan it, but ultimately he is afraid that it will restrict their creativity and ideas.

They wrote BB the exact same way.

Sure-Oz 04-18-2016 09:37 PM

Wow what a finale. Jimmy is so screwed...Chuck really hates Jimmy. Never even told him his mother said his name.

Buehler445 04-18-2016 09:56 PM

Sorry DJ, I'm kind of off team chuck. Jimmy is a largely a shitbag, but Chuck is approaching pathological.

Molitoth 04-18-2016 10:29 PM

Chuck is a major piece of shit, I'm starting to really hate him.

Not sure how/why people were on "team chuck" in the first place; he's a complete piece of shit as a brother. It's not like this is a new revelation.

On the Mike side: who the hell would have known Mike would be on the side of a mountain with a sniper rifle besides one of the guys that was in his cross hairs and exactly who was he looking to shoot? Nacho makes more sense than Hector because it would erase any ties between the heist and Mike but Hector makes more sense from a revenge standpoint for threatening his niece.

Someone finally was a step ahead of Mike.
