This goes all the way back to the beginning of the offseason. Check it here with the RoyalsReview: https://www.royalsreview.com/2016/11...k-billy-butler After our start this year, Resigning Billy got quite an endorsement from Kings of Kauffman Quote:
I've also seen scattered "endorsements" from fans on Twitter and FB. Not many, but enough that it surprises me.

The Royals should just bring back Billy Butler. I at least liked him. He can't hit any worse than the current option.
— Lindle McAlister (@LindleMcAlister) July 18, 2017
I can't find the facebook post on the Royals fanpage that inspired me to post this, but I'll keep looking for it. I can't even imagine Billy returning to the Royals after Mike Sweeney publicly trashed him after the great Valencia/Billy fight of 2016. Can't imagine what the conversation in an elevator would be like between them, especially since Sweeney said his sentiments were shared by the entire FO. |
butler has less than 100 abs left in his career.

Butler is likely the same hitter, with no power, that is currently Brandon Moss.
I can only imagine the shape Butler has kept himself in since his playing days as well. |

What, were you not impressed with his regimen during his playing days? |

For them to get to 90 wins, they need to go 36-25. That'll play.

Nats get Howie Kendrick

Man this run is as fun as any regular season Royals baseball we've had these last few years. Don't get me wrong, I loved the relentless, line-moving offense we had in recent seasons, but it sure is fun to see these guys hitting HRs left and right. They're just such a complete team right now (outside of DH).
After the way the year started, this is just awesome to watch. I have a really good feeling that they'll make and seriously compete in the playoffs, but even if they fall short, I'm really glad we're getting a few more awesome memories with this core of guys. |

You're almost there. |
The Hellickson move makes no sense to me. But then again, I am getting entertainment from their desperation. There are 5 teams between them and the 2nd WC spot, he's one of the heaviest-flyball pitchers in the game- not a good fit for Camden, he has the second-lowest K-rate in the game.. do I need to continue? Good lord, that is delusion at its very finest if that's what your fallback option is. Then again their starters have a collective ERA of 5.90 this season ROFL.

Makes absolutely no sense. |
Doesn't it? Or does it make so much sense it's BLOWING YOUR MIND?
Ok yeah, it makes no sense. |

Question, while we're talking trades, what does everyone think of the Cardinals Tommy Pham and what would the cost be for us to get him?
|
Quote:
I think he's a really solid 4th OF and don't quite believe in what he has done this. He's also 29 and has degenerative eye condition that is under control presently but is a threat in the future, As I understand it. He, like Whit Merrifield, has kind of burst into the scene after a long time in the minors and little acclaim as a prospect. Need those types to prove it for a little longer, IMO, when they debut at MLB and are more than expected. Since he has a lot of control left, I would expect Pham to have a pretty decent price tag. Terrance Gore has 17 career stolen bases and 0 career hits. That has to be unheard of right?

Kansas City Royals @Royals
We have requested unconditional release waivers on RHP Al Albuquerque. He was designated for assignment on July 24. #Royals |

Butler is not an asshole he is just not cool. He is that fat piece of shit that annoys you on the bus that your mom tells you to be nice to because he is reeruned but when you try to be nice you can't help but tell him that he needs to suck nuts and that he needs to wear some old spice because he smells like poop and garbage. He has a fat wife doesn't hit off the weed pipe or drink much. Doesn't like to be coached either. He had the god given ability to mash a baseball and to recognize pitches. In 40 years I never saw a guy pick up on if it was a fastball or breaking ball better.

Per Jon Heyman
The Royals, who have been spending more than anyone ever figured they would, will make an attempt to keep Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas. Both will get qualifying offers. |

@JonHeyman: royals could make some sense for melky cabrera (if the $6M to go is paid down some). there's been a bit of interest in the melk man.

@ChrisCotillo: Source: Twins have definitively decided to sell pieces. Expect moves before Monday.

We're three games clear in the WC race. Not that I want to go through that again, and I'd much rather be at the K for it, but at least there's that.

The White Sox traded their best pitcher to the Cubs. The Cubs. Like they're going to care if they trade someone to KC.
