Miller was pretty lousy.

Burden is essentially a supercharged Danario Alexander. And if we're not careful, he'll end up like Alexander was in that Yost season where the entire offense was force-feeding him the football.

Handle business against Vandy next week and it sets up a huge showdown with LSU….be even bigger than the KSU game.

Pitt Gorilla 09-23-2023 11:15 PM

So, should Drink still be fired for starting Cook at QB? Where are we on that one?

Fun team to watch. If they could keep from shooting themselves in the foot they could be something to recon with.

I’m thrilled to be 4-0, it’s been awhile.

Hopefully they don’t have a let down next week or it could still be all for naught bc the schedule ramps up significantly thereafter and L’s are coming.

Burden was a man among boys last night. And Cook….he’s been a positive difference maker two weeks in a row.

I guess we’re just not going to tackle this yr that seems to be the policy. The defense could be excellent if it cleaned that up but at this point I’m not optimistic. Not to mention the penalties.

Is Taylor for Memphis considered an NFL prospect? Dude catches everything.

Valiant 09-24-2023 10:38 AM

Man, that is a break. 12 games and only 4 on the road.

That Memphis squad had 2-3 guys who did NOT look like mid-major players. Big, strong and fast. Taylor and another WR. And a couple DBs as well.

They were better than I expected or at least more talented.

Guessing Tulane is still the team to beat but they are one of the better teams (possibly second best) in their league.

They made too many mistakes last night, a clean game from them would have been tight and possibly won (?), be that as it may although it was competitive Mizzou was not threatened the entire 2h for the most part.

Brady Cook has really stepped up and playing like I didn't think he could! This is exciting. I think Luther Burden being one of the best WR in college is helping immensely.

Missouri is #23 in the AP poll. One spot behind Florida and one spot ahead of Kansas.

Damm. When's the last time both Missouri and Kansas been ranked at the same time. 2008?

But it doesn't matter, because that mother****er is going to start Brady Cook at QB and he's gonna start him until it's no longer possible to start him and we're gonna lose all of our other QBs to the portal.

You seriously don't think Cook should start?

And they're STILL getting the 11a start vs. LSU.

Do they know something I don't and an Vandy loss is already in the bag?

Because that's a matchup against 2 ranked SEC teams - you'd think that wouldn't get such a rotten time slot.

SEC TV Picks for that week

11am - Mizzou vs LSU (ESPN)
2:30pm - Alabama vs A&M (CBS)
6pm - Kentucky vs Georgia (ESPN)

Guess it was between the Mizzou/LSU vs Kentucky/Georgia for the 6pm game. You know CBS wanted Bama vs A&M bad.
