41 points last year in 77 games. Is it really that surprising? Dude isn't some star player and wasn't before they dealt for him.

Blues down Schwartz, Pietro, Bouwmeester and Hutton against the Bolts tonight.

US vs Canada World Junior match up on NHLN. Tournament is in Buffalo.... game is outside. 11 degrees and a wind chill of 6.

Not sure why, but yes.

I assume playing hockey helps with hands not going numb, and skaters can spend their time on the bench warming up their hands..... but, it's gotta be kind of brutal for goalies.

I was afraid of that and was hoping for a muscle disorder that required kinesiology tape or something.

It does seem dumb to have the host team play at 7pm, then a rivalry game at 3pm the next day... and one as gimmicky as an outdoor game in the snowiest city in America.

Tuesday's 3v3 pond hockey tournament in NKC was cold like that. Brutal...

My son's in goal and there are a few things they can to to stay warm. They can load up on layers under their leg pads, the chesty if pretty thick, so the chest stays warm(er), they can wear wool under the chesty to keep the back warm, they can wear gloves under the catcher and blocker, wear a single layer beanie under the helmet, and put toe warmers in their skates. And all of them can actually wear sweaters instead of jerseys.

I think the players who skate out have it worse, they're making their own wind.

And the Winter Classic is about to start. Nice and chilly in NYC for this one...

Let's do this!

Those shadows are brutal but I like the cam angles.

St. Patty's Fire 01-01-2018 12:36 PM

Impossible to see the puck

GloryDayz 01-01-2018 12:37 PM

This is SOOOOOOO awesome! The NHL needs to have more than one game a year outside!

St. Patty's Fire 01-01-2018 12:37 PM

Oh and the Sabres make the Broncos look competent
