Just making an observation. NE really only has two tough games on the road. They get 6 easy division games, 3 good teams they play at home and get to start their year at home vs the Texans-who have a QB and their best defensive player in Watt, coming off major injuries.

Looks like 14-2

Automatic Division title and at least one Playoff game at home. They beat KC at Home and squeak by the Steelers for one of two challenging games- they are set up yet again for Home Field throughout the Playoffs- 2 wins and they are in the SB again. :shake:

IMO the the top 3 teams in the AFC will be Pats, Steelers and KC.

KC plays both on the road.
NE 1 on the road 1 at home
Steelers 2 at home.

NE and the Steelers are definitely set up again - with NE having a very easy schedule as always.

My way early guess just taking a quick glance is 10-6.

Red Dawg 04-20-2018 11:09 AM

Brady hardly ever plays a tough one. They get the good end of tough games playing at home a lot. Unless Brady stops using roids to feel young they will get another bye week at pkayoff time.

I think some put too much weight on the early portions of the schedule.

For most teams, I would agree. But when players are not in as good of condition because it's early season, that thin air at pile high IS a HUGE advantage.

There should just be a headline on these threads that the schedule is determined years in advance. We can jump ahead 3-4 years and already tell you who the Chiefs will be playing. The things you can complain about are the home/away splits, getting too many back to back road games, the bye week, things like that.

I don’t give 2shits about the schedule.

All I know is I just spent $735 on 2 tickets for when they come up here to Seattle. Dec. 23rd, Monday Night Football. Yeah, baby.

Not the best view but we’re just one section away from the Chiefs tunnel on their side. Best I could do for disabled. I really wanted to get down on the bottom behind our bench but no disabled seating which is ****ed up.

Base off what?

Andy outcoached then badly both games last year, their stadium was 75% Chiefs fans, Andy has all the time in the world to gameplan against them and they have virtually no tape of our new offense or Mahomes running it.

Denver has been opening at home for years.

Warm weather=louder fans
Plus the early September Denver altitude advantage

This is partially why the Broncos collapsed in 2006-2009. Their record was inflated by the ease of the early part of the season

If Denver had been given an honest schedule, their fans wouldn't have had to suffer through those collapses

reid will have designed a whole new offense around Mahomes. Game 6 Belicheck will have some film to work with, but week one? No way.

I think it is better to have a schedule back-loaded with home games, as playoff implications are more defined in November/December games.

Last year the Chiefs blew an opportunity to capitalize on an easier second half of the season schedule mostly because Alex Smith returned to his Bubble Screen Alex Smith form.
