He was damn good last year pre injury. I wonder if he’ll be put in the bullpen when he’s ready and be used as insurance for an injury? I can’t see him replacing marsh right now but who knows as the season goes on.

3 out of 4 against the Angels. Will take. Onwards to Seattle.

Imagine the Royals in the playoffs during another sb run.

That would be awesome

Dairon Blanco is good

I’ll just be happy if they can keep us interested to the Chiefs preseason

May be one of the dumbest tweets of all time. Maybe we should trade Mahomes while we’re at it too??

I missed this stupid shit the other day, but it's so ****ing dumb I had to comment on it. This comparison is ****ing reeruned. I love Salvy, but to act like he's as important to the Royals as Mahomes is to the Chiefs is butt sucking stupid.

I'm ready to get off the West Coast. Late night games suck.

My goal for them every year is to be competitive until at least training camp.

But this team... I'm still not sure.

How long has it been since we ended a long early season west coast swing trip still in contention?

Any questions about “last time we were in contention” and the like have a hard stop at 2016 at the earliest. More likely 2015.

It would be great, and more than that, historic for KC, as both teams haven’t ever really been good at the same time, let alone playoff contenders. Had some overlap in 2013-2015, and a bit in the early 90’s, but that’s pretty much it.

Royals were actually doing well in 2017, then fell off a cliff at the tail end of the season. They made a flurry of moves to solidify the ‘pen among others, and every deal turned into shit. I’m still convinced that had Yordano not died, we would have had another playoff run in 2017. He had a shaky 2016, but I truly feel he was on the verge of coming into his own. So sad that we’ll never know…

Yeah, I’m interested to see how he performs in his rehab. The season is still so young it’s very hard to know how things will shake out. If Marsh continues his run, he isn’t going anywhere. It’s crazy that Wacha is the weak link right now. I expect him to improve, but if he doesn’t, it’s nice to know we could have someone competent to take his place, perhaps in Bubic and/or Lynch. Moreover, if all continues to go well, and we’re still in contention come the deadline, I fully expect some deals to be made which could include all of the aforementioned names.

It’s been 35 years since KC had a 20 game winner. Appier would have done it 1993 if he ever had any run support. Cone was well on his way in 1994 before the strike. Seth Lugo is on pace for 23 wins. A lot has to happen to be a 20 game winner, and we’ve got a long way to go. The dude is a legit Cy Young contender right now and just goes about his business in such an understated way. He’s like the ****ing terminator out there. Can he do it?

Indeed.
