No, it wasn't. Werdum JUST got popped, like this week. That is a HUGE blow to the UFC's plans. They would have loved to feature Werdum in a main event.

Again, you have to grade it on a curve, everyone in the NFL is on steroids, and if you just ignore all of that and cheer on Sundays (like I do), then don't grade the UFC on a much stricter, harsher standard than the NFL.

Dana backtracked on that. Says he was wrong and it's only a 6 fight deal

I think it's funny how so many of these guys are held to such high levels of cleaness..meanwhile the NFL is obviously on a bunch of roids.

Unless you're a box office draw and then you can take whatever you want.

Yeah, Werdum is a nice draw and all, but he isn't Jon Jones. Also, when a Denver Broncos player runs up to our team bus and chucks a dolly at the glass, injuring 4 or 5 of our players, and gets a slap on the wrist and continues to play, let me know.

So, even with just 6 fights it will take Conor a decade or more to finish the contract at his current rate.

It's pretty obvious Dana is hoping for a McGregor win, so I hope more than anything that Khabib drags Conor to the ground and embarrasses him.

Jon Jones was pulled right before UFC 200, and that caused the PPV to take a huge hit. This is legit, USADA is not playing around.

Why would USADA give a shit about someone throwing stuff at a bus?

You just want to be contrarian at this point, even though your original point was flawed, you just can't admit you were wrong.

Does USADA make money off of PPV sales, ticket sales or both?

Original post: The UFC and USADA both killed pretty much all credibility they had left with how they handled McGregor and Jones respectively. You've effectively set the precedent that no matter how much of a headcase or habitual **** up you are, we'll bend over backwards for you as long as you can make us tons of money.

But sure, go ahead and act like the UFC isn't embarrasing themselves with McGregor and USADA isnt corrupt by reducing the Jon Jones suspension to conveniently right when he would be ready to fight after his conditioning based solely on "evidence" he turned in and saying "trust me, I didn't do it."

They do not, but the accusation is that USADA is somehow compromised and trying to help the UFC out while only giving them a thin appearance of cleaning up the sport.

That theory is horseshit because of UFC 200, among other things.

lol, for crying out loud, USADA wanted a higher punishment, this was a decision by the arbitrator.

There is a lot going on in fightpass this weekend.

Thursday

6pm - (Fightpass) - Karate Combat

This is very similar to MMA, except grappling on the ground is discouraged and standups are quick.

Saturday

noon - (Fightpass) - Glory 59

Kickboxing

3pm - (Fightpass) - Cage Warriors 97

This card is not bad by local promotion standards.

7pm - (Fightpass) - EBI 17, The middleweights CJJ

9pm - (DAZN) - Bellator 206, Mousasi vs. MacDonald.

This is a pretty decent card as Bellator kicks off their Welterweight Grand Prix

10:30pm - (Fightpass) - XFN 352

This is a small card in Oklahoma, but there's only one reason to care. Greg Hardy will be fighting on this card.

alnorth 09-29-2018 10:49 PM

Greg Hardy destroyed another random dude in less than a minute.

The main event for UFC 230 in Madison Square Garden has been announced, AND IT IS!!!! *sad trombone*

Jesus Christ. It is a fight that New York should probably not sanction.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">BREAKING: Valentina Shevchenko vs. Sijara Eubanks for the vacant flyweight tile will headline UFC 230 on Nov. 3 in Madison Square Garden, per multiple sources.</p>&mdash; Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) <a href="https://twitter.com/bokamotoESPN/status/1047180509871316992?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 2, 2018</a></blockquote>
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Shevchenko is 15-3 in MMA, and freaking 84-2 in Muay Thai.

Eubanks (who?) is..... 3-2
