I homebrewed a Mexican lager that I want to put into these 7oz Little Kings bottles to give off a Coronita/Dos Equis vibe, but DAYUM!, I'm stuck drinking them. Figure if I can choke down a couple here and there by the time my beer gets done lagering I'll have all the bottles I need.

Picked up a bottle of the masters collection Woodford Reserve brandy cask finish.
Pretty tasty, pricey, but we'll worth |

I'm not a gin fan but I've gotten some free grapefruits from work and needed a drink for them.
Called a Palm Beach 2 oz gin 1 oz vermouth 2-3 ounces grapefruit juice http://i.imgur.com/fIepOWi.jpg |
No wonder you're not a gin fan, you're drinking Beefeater. :) :D
I kid, I kid. I am a gin fan, and that drink sounds good. I think I have to wait for warmer weather, otherwise my palate won't accept those flavors. |

I have no earthly idea about gin. Please feel free to educate me. PS, it was 75 outside when I was drinking this. :D |

I know a lot of people don't like gin, but at least some of those have only had the common gins that are very juniper forward. Juniper seems to be one of those love it or hate it flavors. I would recommend trying a few different ones to see if they might be more to your liking. http://www.goudals.com/wp-content/up...cks-gin-1l.jpg Hendrick's is heavy on cucumber and rose. Very light and refreshing and pretty far from your stereotypical gin flavor profile. https://www.thebotanist.com/sites/de.../product_1.jpg The Botanist is my favorite gin and I will actually have it on the rocks. It is made by Bruichladdich, an Islay distillery that makes some truly excellent single malts. They use only 22 botanicals found on Islay. http://intoxicology.net/wp-content/u...luecoatgin.jpg Bluecoat is made not far from me, in Philly. I'd say this has more of a citrus note than most gins. Those would be my top 3 recommendations, but there are a lot of gins out there these days. |
