Looks like they're learning their lesson.

The turf in Allegiant Stadium is the same set up as what was in Arizona last year. I hope it holds up a little better than last year.

I hope we win by 3 scores

This post is definitely not AI generated.

Something was missing from those posts that you’d find in a Hootie post

Not sure I can put my finger on what it was

Hopefully, they have been working all year on avoiding the same problems as last year. I mean, one would hope so, anyway.

The 49ers defense didn't face that many offenses who stuck with the running game. Even the Lions got away from the run in the second half, when they were dominating in the trenches in the first half. The Arizona Cardinals stuck with the run in week 15, and they rushed for 234 yards. If the Lions had stuck with the run, they may have rushed for 300 yards or more .

Andy Reid will run, run and run some more.

I doubt it. We threw 39 times vs 24 runs last game and we had a two score lead the entire game. So that is 62% of the time. That pretty much aligns with our season average. We are 7th in the NFL in pass play percentage. We would probably pass more if we werent so good and leading games so often.

Also the Niners play alot of zone. Our two best offensive weapons are better at zone than man in Kelce and Rice. I would want to run more if we were playing a team that plays more man so we don't have to rely on Watson and MVS as much. Luckily we should be able to gash them in the run and with Rice and Kelce.

Over and over again Shannahan ran reverses and sharp cut zone blocking runs bc Hitchens and Ragland were flat footed slow LB's who could never cut off angles or be fast enough to get to the hole in time.

Tranquill, Bolton and Chenal are a major upgrade in speed there. I also think Willie Gay will play with 2 weeks of rest and a cat that athletic added to those 3 might comprise of the best LB unit in football.

You can't even compare the defense back then to the defense now. LB was a glaring hole. Now it is a strength especially against speed.

I expect next week to start the 9ers tilt.

A few things that was evident in our last game against them.

1. Ward simply couldn't handle MVS. He got beat two or three times on some big plays and I would guess MVS will be left one on one with him again in this game as they focus on Kelce and Rice.

2. Kelce had his way all day despite them having Hufanga, Greenlaw and Warner out there

3. JUJU sat In those zones play after play and was getting yac with very physical running

4. They were getting torn to pieces by jet sweeps and motion (and the Lions just did the same thing) which saw Hardman have a huge day against them

5. Pacheco, Clyde and Mckinnon all had big plays

6. We got five sacks

Now obviously that game is in the past. But I'd like to think that mentally it gives our guys an edge because we did that to them on their own field with 99% of the players they have now. Deebo, MCM, Aiyuk, Kittle, Warner, Greenlaw, Bosa, Williams etc were all there.

Richard Sherman and Michael Irving have already showed their hand for SF and Chris Simms likely backs his friend Shanahan. That's all I know so far.
