Arguably one of our hardest playoff games, especially being on the road. Do we have a new GDT tradition of starting it at 12:12?

I support that fully. 12:12 is my favorite time on the clock that has great meaning with my mama.

Make the joke. Dare you.

The Ravens are dirty cheap shoters...not artist because they suck at it.

kstater 01-28-2024 08:47 PM

The Chiefs are now 1-1 in playoff games where the opposing QB catches a throw to himself.

And I will be starting it at 12:11 AM.

He probably blocked me after the drop against Cincy. I tagged his loser ass bitching about the location of the throw.

I take full credit for his resurgence.

This is what the team needed. Adversity made them underdogs. Being underdogs united them in this “Us vs the world” mentality. The disrespect they got as defending champions was something that gave them a focus needed to knock off everyone in the AFC. One more win to seal the greatest playoff season of Mahomes young career.

Anyone else notice Wharton blatantly getting held on that 4th and 1 conversion in the 1st quarter?

Or Chris Jones getting tripped in the end zone when the Ravens were backed up at the 1-yard line on their last possession? Should have been a safety.

It’s hard to even comprehend the things these guys have achieved these past few years.

What a golden time to be a Chiefs fans. Let’s never forget this feeling.

All of them...

CupidStunt 01-29-2024 08:06 AM

Nowhere else to put this, so...

Veach said they tried to get a WR early in the draft. As in before Rice, so either with our pick or moving up. First time I recall hearing this. I thought supposedly we liked Mazi Smith, not a WR.

Who was the WR?

Yeah the plan was to put the pressure in them. Make them earn every point. The offense all season has handed turnovers to their opponents. Not a bad plan then to get up early with aggressive playcalling and go conservative not making that crucial mistake to let them back in it.

Mark Andrews is absolutely a top 3 TE but I didn’t understand people who thought he was going to come out of that injury after being off so long and just parachute in to have an amazing game.

Ehhhh. Pat definitely looked off some guys that were open. They talked about it during the game. He didn’t want to want to force anything for sure, and I appreciate that, but he absolutely was playing game manager in the second half and went conservative as well. It’s all good :)

mr. tegu 01-29-2024 08:20 AM

I definitely think Andrews back for them was a net negative. Giving Lamar an additional thing/player to think about in the passing game, especially a fresh from injury player, is not really a great thing for him.

I agree that Mahomes was probably playing conservative to protect the lead.

They mentioned that the Ravens switched to primarily man coverage in the second half as well, though. And they were stonewalling Pacheco at the line pretty much the entire 2nd half.

If they don’t inexplicably try to play zone coverage for the entirety of the 1st half as if Mahomes doesn’t annihilate that type of coverage, this one could have been a lot tighter.

Wonder if he'll blame the refs for this one, too.

Oof. Scuttlebutt on Ravens forums is that he punched her and his brother threatened her with a gun.

Rain Man 02-08-2024 04:13 PM

It wasn't so much the domestic assault that's problematic, it's the taunting afterwards.

Chiefspants 02-08-2024 04:25 PM

Are we completely sure the refs weren’t at fault for this?

Proof the league is rigged for Mahomes.

ThaVirus 03-10-2024 03:17 PM

Stumbled upon this earlier today.

It’s basically Mahomes crashing Kelce’s McAfee interview after this AFCCG. What I thought was interesting was Kelce and Mahomes both saying that they were 100% going to get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty if Tucker had missed his kick late in the game.

Bowser 03-10-2024 03:26 PM
