Sounds like dee ford is here to stay. I find that kind of odd.

These back issues were well known before Dorsey spent a first on him. Iirc he couldn’t even work out at the combine because of them. I hope Dee comes back healthy because if he does, Houston, Passagnon and him are a good trio of pass rushers. Veach adds in one more and we can probably look to move/restructure Houston next offseason if he doesn’t have the impact he should have at his salary.

Next offseason is gonna be fun.

Huge cap space.

Extra picks.

Franchise QB.

Giddy up

First, even if we are not enamoured with Dee Ford, its in the Chiefs best interest to see him come back and play well in 2018. First we need an OLB and lets be honest we probably can't afford one in FA and we don't have a first round draft pick. Second, if he plays well it gives the Chiefs another year to look at him, and if we let him walk perhaps we can get a decent compensatory pick for him. The ONLY way I'd cut his ass is if i didn't think he will be healthy in 2018.

With Crabtree possibly cut, watch us get Talib and Crabtree haha what a mess that could be

Mother****erJones 03-01-2018 07:35 PM

There’s gona be more cuts coming. I’m fine if kc targets cuts to save on compa picks for next year. Fulton and Wilson will help that a lot.

Mother****erJones 03-01-2018 07:37 PM

Turning Albert Wilson, an UDFA, into a 3rd round comp pick would be fantastic

I don't think so.

Veach is trying to remake the Chiefs into a young, quick and fast team, offensively and defensively.

That's not going to fully happen in one season but signing old veterans will just slow down the process.

He’s also remaking the locker room. Talib doesn’t fit that.

Crabtree isn't leaving Oakland anyway

I just know the chiefsiest thing will happen. He'll have 22 sacks get a pay day then break in half in 2019. I'd still like to find some rotation at olb. Zombo just isn't it.

Plenty of OLB help coming off recent injuries that should be affordable, like Okafor, Attaochu or Trent Murphy.

It would be pretty unlucky if one of these guys was a shell of their former self, Ford was injured again AND Kpass fails to progress, surely...

Crabtree is going to be released, any interest?

Nope.

He'll be 31 when the season starts and not a fit.
