Fair enough. I just want to be upfront about it.

I appreciate that. You don't get many people who do that until you start pressing them

People talk out of their ass when it comes to guns. I hate it when you have to dig good info out of them because nobody wants to admit they made a bad buy.

I am pretty straight forward when people ask me about any of my arsenal. No need to make them believe everything I own is amazing when it's not.

Amazing guns I own:

Steyer SSG04 .308. It's a sub 1/2 gun, and I can hit a 5" circle at 500 yards every time with this rifle. Trigger is perfect, and the action is fantastic. It's married to a Steiner Military 4-16 scope, which makes it even better.

S&W 1911. Just a great pistol

Palmetto 14.7" carbine with Aimpoint Pro. (build) This thing eats everything, and shoots well. I have never had a single misfeed and it has over 5k rounds through it's F/N barrel.

Armalite AR-30A1 and Vortex Razor. .338 Lapua Mag that shoots great. I am about to replace the muzzle brake with a mount for a Silencerco Harvester Big Bore. The only rifles I would trade this for is a Desert Tech SRS or AI.

Shit guns I own.

DPMS .260. Every DPMS heavy barrel I own is damn accurate. This piece of shit is a 1 1/2" gun on a good day. **** it.

Ruger LC9. **** this pistol and everything associated with it. I wouldn't use it to shoot myself after an Atlanta-like loss in the Superbowl.

I own a shitload more weapons, and most are decent to good. These are the rifles that stand out in my love/hate relationship.

Not a problem. I've been on here for a long time and I'm certainly not going to try to weasel anybody.

I do have one friend who's local who has also expressed interest in it. He's supposed to get back to me by the end of the week as well. If he craps out, and you want to make the deal, I'll probably sell it using my best friend's gunbroker account. I've never sold a gun to somebody out of state, so doing that will take all the mystery out of it. I'll list it and let you know immediately that it's there. And if I can't list the extra mags and holsters that go with it (never used gunbroker for anything before, so I just don't know), after you've paid I'll drop those in the mail to you.

I've made a few bad buys but have luckily been able to sell them off.

My worst purchase was my first handgun, a ruger P95 I believe. I couldn't hit a target with it to save my life. Immediately sold it and bought something else. Shot just fine with every gun I've owned since.

Yeah, I almost bought a P95 but pulled back after shooting one.

Clunky with a heavy, long trigger pull.

Kind of a piece of shit to be honest. ;)

It's funny - I was perusing the old, locked gun thread recently and found the stuff I posted when I bought my old P95. I just thought that was the coolest shit in the world, tricked out with a rubber grip thingie and a laser/flashlight. I assume some of you really had to bite your tongues in not telling what a moron I was. LMAO

Sold it years ago, although I don't recall ever having any issues or trouble hitting with it. Sure have come a long way since then.

The worst purchase I ever made was one older than that, some shitty discontinued S&W 9mm that came with one single stack mag. It was so old that I couldn't find spares for it anywhere. Dumped that turd in the hurry.

Hey, there's a huge selection out there, I say shoot them all, buy the one that works the best in your hand.

Dunit35 02-08-2017 08:35 PM

Has anyone seen the new S&W M&P 2.0? It's a good looking gun. Might end up buying one sometime this year. Crossing my mind to buy the 9mm and switch my duty gun.

I should be picking up my Colt 1911 Lightweight Commander tomorrow. Bought a couple more mags for it.

The seller angered me. Said he'd ship it on Monday but didn't ship it until yesterday and never provided me with a tracking number. You forced me to pay $35 shipping you could at least give me a tracking number. I called him about it earlier, said he'd email it to me and never did.

I was considering getting a PPQ in .45, but got talked out of it - my buddy who shoots competitively says he's seen a lot of them malfunction. Of course, I take everything he says with a grain of salt, since he's a serious gun snob (the same one who owns that STI I posted a picture of) and also those guys beat the shit out of their guns in ways a normal person never would. But at the end of the day, I got the new Sig instead.

It sure felt good in my hand, though. And all the reviews I saw were positive.

My neighbor has the PPQ, and it's been pretty solid. I like the simplicity of PPX because it reminded me of my days of 1911s and M9s, so I went with it. And I went with 9mm for the price of ammo. My PPX has never failed me, shoots really nicely, and feels really nice in my hands. And yeah, both neighbors are snobs, ask them, they'll tell you. And that's fine, somebody has to win the porn-dick contest.

LMAO

Well, that somebody won't be me. I have some quality stuff, but I can't afford $3,000 pistols and $5,000 rifles.

What he did recommend was that if I must have a .45 of that kind, to hold out for the HK VP45, which hasn't come out yet.
