So apparently Daryl Morey stepped down.

I don’t know anything about it but Russillo said he left an absolute shitload of money on the table. I think (I was working, not paying too much attention) he had a lot of money on his contract that he would have got if he stayed on and gotten fired but won’t because he stepped down.

He was in an investment bank before basketball, right? Hard for me to believe he didn’t know what he was doing.

That’s an interesting development. Maybe he’s signaling to other owners that he’s not in it for the money. Maybe he can’t wait to GTFO.

Interesting either way.

Personal preference. I'd rather see Lebron posterize people in the paint than watch a bunch of shooting.

I hate what the NBA has become with nothing but 3 point shots. I despise it.

After 13 years on the job, he was ready for a break.

The China comments bit him in the ass and will likely stay with him forever while D'Antoni moved on as well.

I think that franchise needs a reboot.

It's probably just the political messaging, though.

Jesus.

How is the NFL doing?

The NFL's ratings are down a cumulative 14% overall through Week 5.

Good matchups, like the Chiefs-Ravens, drew huge numbers but outside of a few games, they're way down, which is to be expected when overall TV viewership is down nearly 25%.

Yeah. No. Watch Save The Last Dance. Jordan couldn’t sustain the intensity. He needed away from the media.

I’m firmly in the MJ=GOAT camp but that’s not happening.

Don’t disagree at all. It’s interesting because if he would have stuck around to make them fire him. Virtually everybody does that.

Haha I meant in terms of daggering a three. Curry was hitting some crazy ass shots last night, was scary as a lakers fan.

It was a really fun game to watch, even though I was cheering for a different outcome. The Warriors didn't play great, but a few less turnovers would have probably done it.

The Franchise 05-20-2021 01:26 PM

As a Suns fan.....this is going to suck.
