With the exception of seeing friends and going to sit down restaurants shits been the same. Was sad my gym is closed but I've gotten some workouts in outside and it's been beautiful out!

Did basically the same thing in my old house, but this one will be a little bigger. Hadn't stained it yet when I took this pic, and I also built doors for the area underneath. Hope the new owners are enjoying it. https://i.imgur.com/rTpgQCS.jpg |
Seems for the most part normal. Went to town today. Apparently social distancing is suggestion. Auto parts stores were packed. Visited with a bunch of friends and farmers.
Grocery stores are a mega hub for social gatherings now. Seems we spend more time visiting then we do shopping. It’s like elbow to elbow with people now days. Parks are full. Kids out in full force playing in neighborhoods. Other than some businesses shit down it looks like a typical Saturday in the Midwest. |

If anything, I've had less time to work because the kids are home and need attention/schooling. |
It's pretty boring; working from home means I spend a lot more time working than I ever did at the office. Been working at home for three weeks now, been to the store three times, only drive to spend the weekend with my girlfriend. Haven't seen any of my friends or family. Getting some projects done around the house.
Trying to stay away from the major news networks. I still don't know what to think about this. We don't get daily reports on deaths by heart attacks, cancer or the seasonal flu. Seems like the media and politicians love a crisis. I'm fortunate that I'm still working. |
Today im in the office prepping myself to be out of the office most of this week.
I'm glad i invested in my "home gym" before all of this though. I've got an Olympic size bench press, two bars and a grip of various weights, dumbells, barbells etc on my rear porch. I also i have a 10' basketball hoop and a big enough yard to throw the ball around with the dogs. And it doesn't hurt that myself, wife and son enjoy gaming together. All 3 of us get on our home P.C's and mash faces as a team. |

Managed to get a little fishing in today, played small ball and fished the town brook... if the apocalypse is upon us, I know where to find a seemingly never ending supply of creek chubs
They’re probably nasty eating, but it’d keep me alive! |
Fry em up easy

I've cut my own hair since the 90s
It looks great, you just have to be severely OCD soooooo |
If I let my hair grow it gets really thick and out of control quickly. I took out the trusty buzzers and set it on a 4 guard and took it all off. My wife was not a fan of this new buzz cut look but I don't care. Nobody's gonna see me anyhow.

They are out of work with the stay at home order and every one of them cheats they system pocketing cash and they don't claim much on their income tax. With that being said, even if they manage to get unemployment, their check is going to suck wind. |

Crazy last 48 hours. Movers came on Sunday to load us up. Had everything strategically boxed and separated for optimum efficiency. Wipes in each room, etc. Wife and I chose to sleep on an air mattress in our empty place in lieu of Airbnb/hotel. Did a separated closing on Monday with our attorney in one office and us in another communicating through video chat. Wiped down the new place and met the movers to unload us.
Things got tense when I set up our down payment wire on Friday through Chase and it still hadn’t gone through by our closing time on Monday. Chase is backed up for days due to high volume COVID-19 fear transactions. Due to IL limit laws I wound having to cut 2 separate cashiers checks to close. So much for social distancing as Chase branches were slammed yesterday. On top of that Comcast is being dodgy about the cable install today. Technician discretion upon arrival if they want to do the install or not. I get it but internet is essential for me to do my job and this is a new construction with zero hookups. Rep on the phone said they could drop off a do it yourself kit on our front porch and I could watch “a bunch of how to videos online” to which I replied what does anyone need you for then. Obviously frustrated due to a buy/sell and move during a pandemic and also completely understand x% of jobs are generally convenience driven and just a function of feeding the economy but I do think there’s a value reckoning coming in the wake of this. Either way, terrible timing but it’s where we’re at. |

Hit the grocery store early this morning - it was closer to normal today than at any point since this nightmare started. Quite a bit of things back on the shelves that hadn't been during the past couple of weeks. They even had some toilet paper! The meat section was fairly well stocked, except for chicken breasts - none to be found. Lots of dark meat and wings, though.

I've just realized this could be the best chance I ever have at sex during working hours. Can I get a +1 to my original answer?

Got my failed Refrigerator back on line. Glad it was a relay switch and only cost me $50.
Thank you Youtube for the videos for repair. Now to restock the supplies lost from the failure. |

Last night I helped burn some CRP fields. Today I'm trying to work at home and it's obvious my kids need to go run miles outside.
When my work is done I'm going to sneak off and pick up some shots for the pup I got the kids and then go burn a couple hundred acres of warm season grass(big fire) and then a hundred acre timber. I don't know how people in urban areas and apartments are doing it, I'm stir crazy and I've got things to do outside. |

I’d love to be able to drive to Illinois to buy a car. Going to have to pass with everything that’s going on. That dealership wants $1600 to transport so that’s a no go as well.

a month ago i put $600 in my fat boy to tune it up and and put it up for sale. figured now would be a good time to get a decent price for it. might as well keep it in the garage for another year.

The car we want is in Illinois which I’d have to travel the 800 miles to get. My side job would then require me to quarantine for two weeks. I’m also not interested in getting charged $1600 to transport it here. |

i really don't want to sell it. haven't road it in like 4 years. it's a 2004 and only has 8k miles on it. can't really justify keeping it. come on down and mow my ****in yard and we'll talk. you can stay in ernie's apartment. sec |
I've 100% teleworked for years now so that part hasn't changed, but not being able to dive, play hockey, swim, or meet with friends, blows...
On the bright side I've rebuilt my son's and my scuba regulators, been able to fix both the chain saw and leaf blower, I've sharpened the mower's blades to something right out of Kill Bill, and all the hockey gear has all of last year's funk "warshed" out... |

Won $500 last night at 2am on a $30 scratcher. First time I ever bought a $30 scratcher... :D
Things keep getting better.... |

I was at a dive bar in New Mexico a couple years ago and bought two $20 tickets and lost on both. Said there's gotta be a winner in there for $20 a pop and won $300 on the third ticket. That was pretty much my experience with scratch offs. |

Trying to deal with the at home schooling that started this week. Taking care of four grandkids and trying to keep then in line with what needs to be done is only made worse by the number of notifications, messages, and emails I'm getting from teachers, their school, and the district.
I have four grandkids, at three different grade levels, going to three different schools with a combined total of 16 teachers. The past two days I got 27 different emails alone. Add to that the software they use for the kids lessons and parents access is not worth a damn from my point of view. It is NOT what I would call user friendly. Looks to me like something from 15-20 years ago. Somethings gotta give before too long or I'm just going to start giving them lessons in fishing and football and call it good. |
Sounds like a genuine pain in the DICK, Stumpp
Been seeing on yahoo etc that a lot of parents aren’t happy with trying to juggle all this stuff the schools are throwing at them, and basically revolting by saying to hell with it |
