Really interesting team this year. Lots of ways they need to get better but they have pieces to be an elite team in this league. I think next year is their time.

I don't really see this season as a season it feels more like a series of exhibitions. But its been a really good chance to get a young team a great run out and great experience as well there are some of the old guard that it is time to move on from. Coupled with how great Pulido is...future is bright.

It’s worrisome to see how they’ve played the past couple of seasons without Espinoza. His tenacity on both sides of the ball is key to Vermes style of play and it’s going to be hard to find an equal replacement when the time inevitably comes that we have to do that. Would also love to see them pick up a speedy more defensive minded fullback. Zusi is arguably one of the the best attacking fullbacks in MLS simply due to his passing but he’s getting beat way more now that the MLS has picked up more talent and the forwards get quicker and quicker every year. Hopefully Jaylin Lindsey can slide in that role nicely but I’d still like to add another piece back there for comfort. If we can find some consistency on defense this team could be absolutely great. The offense is so technically gifted and that’s without arguably our best player in Gutierrez. Will be interesting to see what they do with all the money Busio is set to bring in.
