A derecho is a thunderstorm. The airport gust was under a clear sky, after the storms went through.

They haven't posted all of the individual storm surveys yet but that's where I got the summary.

Weird that I had to move back to the desert from Colorado to finally see some good soaking rains. It's rained harder, and for longer twice in less than a month that I've been here than it did all 2021 while I was in Denver.
