I think the shoulder is still not 100 percent. His velocity is down a couple MPH. Usually a warning sign.

Yep. Reminds me of the warning signs we saw with Vargas and Hoch before they got significant elbow/shoulder injuries. Really wish the Royals would give him time off. We're not competing, why risk hurting someone who served as a legit staff ace at times in 2016-2017?

The way the division is going, if they had just played .400 in the first 25 games instead of the pathetic .200 they'd be in the race.

They're only 6 games out on May 6th. I wouldn't go put money on them, but they are totally "in the race." You could make that up easy with a two week hot streak.

They need to not make the mistake they made a few years ago. They need to decide if they're contenders or not, (they are not by the way). They need to decide now if they're going to be sellers at the deadline. If they get stuck in no mans land, they'll put off the rebuild for another few years.
