no need to tip our hat, throw everything short in pre season, as they will be looking for the long ball to start.
give it till week five, then let it rip. defenses will be looking for the deep pass. :D |
Looks like a tip to me too, but i know what you guys mean when you say you've seen his deep passes flutter like that at times. It's impossible to say with that camera angle, but i'm siding with tipped ball.

His first read was Kelce. I think when he saw Watkins.....he hesitated a split second and at that time it was too late. That would have been a tipped ball for sure.

Great pocket presence BTW. |

Pat was going to let it rip, but was forced to move up because Harris failed. That threw the timing off and the window to Kelce closed. He then looked to strike Watkins but it was already too late. |

This isn't training camp. |

Plus you can see the reason he pulls it down is a defender going high on his throwing side. If he throws to watkins and the defender gets a piece of his arm or the ball, that's a duck begging to be intercepted. I don't have a huge problem with that sack, but it looked like he had some underneath options. |

Maybe he pulled it down b/c he thought it was gonna get tipped or something or his arm was possibly going to get hit - if that was the case, then it was a great decision. Because a wounded duck interception is NOT as good as a punt. |

It is what it is... great D by Texans. |

Pat had Sammy downfield and saw it, but “couldn’t get there” bc of that mistake which caused the pressure and ruined the play. |
