If the Chiefs get high on their own media fumes they'll lose the game. Easily. If they come into the game with the same mentality they had in Baltimore they'll be a dynasty.

The Chiefs just beat the MVP lead widely considered best team in the NFL that trounced the 9ers. The Chiefs beat them in their stadium. The Chiefs have never lost in Vegas. The Chiefs have the best QB in the NFL. A better question would be Why Not?

KC has the best QB, best coach and best defense in the NFL.

But if bettors want to bet their life savings on SF, I'm totally fine with that. In fact, I'm hoping for it.

The Chiefs aren't on CP and most of the media is blasting them because people hate them.

Just curious where everyone ranks this 49ers team to the 3 we've played in our other Super Bowls? Think I'd go...

1. 2020 Bucs
2. 2022 Eagles
3. 2019 49ers
4. 2023 49ers

49ers offense is better than the first one we played most bc CMC/Aiyuk>Mostert/Sanders but their defense is much worse than that versions.

Sure. But times you've known of a Chiefs team led by Patrick Mahomes to get high on their own fumes?

Actually I'd go

1. Eagles
2. 19 Niners
3. Bucs
4. 23 Niners

The Bucs won because we had no OL and Mahomes had a toe that needed surgery.

I'd have it the same. Think you could flip the top two as well and I wouldn't push back much.

That Bucs team had zero holes. It took some time to gel, but once they did, damn.

They went on a run like the Chiefs are going on now, albeit not quite as difficult of opponents.

I'd go TB, 2019 49ers, Eagles, '23 49ers.

Besides the injury problems, the KC team had a giant distraction with Coach Reid’s son right before the game. Might help explain the drop problems we saw from Kelce & Tyreek in that game.

But that Tampa team was pretty loaded. They spent years drafting in the Top 10. They added a GOAT quarterback, GOAT tight end, and Hall of Fame type of receiver. They had a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-31-2024 02:06 PM

Eagles were the most loaded team, but the ridiculous slanted officiating Brady brought to the table was worth 21 points of TERRIBLE calls. PIs on balls thrown into the stands for **** sake. They literally scored multiple scores on plays much less contact than what we did to Baltimore Sunday.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-31-2024 02:11 PM

Better yet, how do you rank the offenses and defenses from those teams 1-thru-8.

Without looking at any stats and just going off how it felt around the Bowl or how it went:

1. '20 Bucs O
2. '19 49ers D
3. '22 Eagles O
4. '20 Bucs D
5. '23 49ers O
6. '22 Eagles D
7. '19 49ers O
8. '23 49ers D

That TB was absolutely loaded. Elite defense at all three levels, outstanding OLine, a former #4 pick at RB. They also had a QB that most consider the GOAT, a HOF TE, one HOF WR, and another who could have been a HOF WR and Top 10 all time WR (had he not been insane). No team in a salary cap era had more talent across the board than that team.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-31-2024 02:31 PM

Bud Grant, Dan Reeves, Marv Levy... all 0-4 in SBs as head coaches.

Shanahan could be next if stacks another one here. Lotta pressure.
