yes You need to set your number much lower, IMO.

You’re right. Wanna know why?

Because Billay is still fat.

1700 Billay. Stop messing around and get in a decent calorie deficit.

Sounds like poor calculation to me unless your job is very physical.

And is that why you haven't lost any weight in months?

I know many guys your size who DO take a pretty significant cut in calories to lean up. I am talking guys who are also trying to maintain their muscle mass. Catabolism of muscle mass is very over-rated as long as your protein is very high, so taking a drastic cut can speed up the process of leaning out. I really see no reason you should't be under 2k calories.

I've cut on 1500 calories a day.

210g protein x4 calories = 840 calories
60g fat x9 calories = 540 calories
25g carbs x 4 calories = 100 calories

Total = 1480 calories.

Lean meats. It’s not hard to get that, plus the increased fat allowed some eggs and cheese as well.

Titty Meat 05-08-2018 05:17 PM

You only do 25g carbs a day? Holy shit.

Bearcat 05-08-2018 05:19 PM

Keto FTW.

When I’m really trying to cut, yes.

But even now at maintenance I only do 50g of carbs most day except Saturday (eat what I want that day). And usually once during the week I’ll have a meal with about 50g carbs at dinner on a workout day. But other than that, it’s low carb. I honestly like eating this way now. Been doing it many years.

I don’t believe in full Keto for most people. And definitely not for someone who likes to lift weights consistently. Your body does need some carbs. If I did more endurance type exercise I’d increase my carbs more, but I mostly just lift weights so they aren’t as needed and I stay leaner by limiting carbs.

I'm going to keep mine under 150g but I'm taking your advice and eating only 1800 cals except for Saturdays when I do my extremely hard HIIT I will consume 3000.

100% agree with that plan. I like one higher calorie day during week. It’s a nice break if nothing else.
