No kidding. The whole episode was filled with references overt and not so overt to the original movie series.

Episode One was a Love Letter to the Original Trilogy.

This series is how every Post-Return of the Jedi TV and Film property should have been approached and treated.

I don't think it'll be too long before people just purposely blow off VII-IX entirely, although Solo and Rogue One definitely fit the narrative.

It was a good start. Well made.
