Tyreek left KC for a couple million more than Ridley is getting. I'm good with drafting a WR.

as long as it's not worthy...

he is not who we need. MVS is proof of that, and he was better than Worthy will be.

He seems just as good as anything out there, just discounted.

Love Mike Williams on a cheap deal. Our redzone stuff is utterly woeful and a big contested catch guy would be invaluable. Pair him with Kelce and your cooking down there

He's 29 injury prone and coming off an ACL. I think he's cheaper because you expect him to play 10-12 regular season games. I think he sets closer to Mooney than Ridley $.

So why do people want him on our team so much , still seems expensive for a 4-5 game season

What if we sign TWO more good WR's to add to Rice and Kelce.

It would not be fair to the rest of the NFL, someone would have to step in...

Without question the chiefs need two WRs through free agency and the draft. Signing Hollywood doesn’t solve our consistency issue. We will need a WR who can run the full route tree, hit his spots every time and can catch passes outside the numbers. If we don’t get Hollywood and bring in a reliable catch guy we will be missing a dynamic, explosive weapon (and hardman ain’t it).

Rashee looking like he could comfortably fill WR1 cuts down the urgency to overspend on it. But we definitely need 2 guys.

For what it’s worth. Chiefs “hater” Craig Carton said on his show this morning that Mike Williams will be signing this morning as a Chief.

I checked...Mahomes IS following Brown on IG now. He wasn't a few days earlier.

I’m confused.

Marquise Brown … can run a full route free, he does catch the ball, and he can hit his spots.

I’m not thrilled about what he’s going to cost in this market, but if the Chiefs signed him they’d be added a dynamic, explosive weapon.

I’m waiting to see which direction the team goes and not really concerned either way.

If the Chiefs add Brown and pay a AAV that would have sounded crazy before FA, it’s them taking a stab on a player they think fits and would ascend in their offense and just accepting that the market is what the market is.

If the Chiefs go with someone like Donovan Peoples-Jones and/or other smaller moves and spend draft capital at WR, it’s them not accepting the market and taking different swings.

I trust the front office that has won back-to-back Super Bowls to find the best path forward towards a repeat.

The only thing that would really make me nervous is putting all their money on Mike Williams staying healthy.

Totally on board with Williams on a 1 year prove it and draft one in first 2 rounds.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-14-2024 06:11 AM

Not sure if posted but on NFL Network last night they suggested that Brown is likely to take a one-year deal.

I think we’d all like that more if the price is gonna be up where we think.
