Nice cars.
Your picture taking skills have not improved, however. |

Plus they were all lined up, it's tough to get a good side view, and on the packard it was crazy bright outside. But yeah it's not one of my skills |

So you didn't know this guy at all? I thought you lived in a pretty small town. Pretty awesome he had all those in his garage. |

Town has 2700 some odd people, but there's probably 20k in the surrounding lake resorts. Some are dumps and some have multi million dollar homes. |

Shit Jason I'm going to have to ride the bike down and just start hanging out with you so I can see all these cool cars

The guy bought an old general store or something like that on the corner and used the loading docks to put a dozen nice old cars in there. He was an out of towner so he was never even there. Nobody ever saw the cars out and nobody really ever saw anyone go in. It was just this old building in the middle of an old-school town square with a bunch of nice cars in it that sat there collecting dust. Weird stories like that abound. If every classic car that people had squirreled away hit the market at once, you could probably get one of them for the price of a used corolla. There are a shitload more of these high-end classics sitting around than we realize. |

he just left here and told me again to come out and drive them any time i want. even gave me keys to the building and a money bag with keys to all the cars in it. |

Because it's okay if you did. Nobody would judge you. |

Last year I bought 2 new tires on my sprayer and they put one of them on backwards. I wasn't a cock about it but I made them fix it. All 4 turn on my rig. |

Need some thoughts.
I am wanting to make my 2013 Charger RT a little more, how do I say this, angry? I guess what I'm trying to say is, how can I get a little more deep rumbling sound, yet not excessive loud? Everything on the car I have is originally factory, so other than tinting the windows, there has been no modifications done. Does it need a cold air intake and/or a improved muffler/exhaust system? Thanks in advance. |

CAI won't affect exhaust note. Some report a slight uptick in engine bay airflow noise, but that doesn't sound like what you're looking for. The google term you're looking for is 'catback' which denotes the exhaust components from your catalytic converter [which must remain by law] to the back of your vehicle [pipes, mufflers and tips]. Use that with your make and model and you should get some youtube hits to listen to. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bA7PTeDgxVM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Not cheap though. |

On another note the wife has been wanting a new car.
I've been looking at the 2017 chevrolet ss. The last of the line, 6.2 6 speed rwd 415 hp. Going to drive an automatic tomorrow because it's closer but we are leaning manual |

Yeah we need the extra doors, and I'm a v8 guy lol. I think I can buy the exact car I pictured for 38,900. Seems they have been dealing on then since they were discontinued. Last one was made last month.

I do miss the rumble of a v8 though. Looks like a good deal... there's something nice about driving an unassuming car with 450hp under the hood. |
The wheels would have to go soon.
|
I wish she had said something 6 weeks ago, they were 20 percent off...
|
That looks hot Jason.
I always wanted a G8 or a new style GTO. This loooks like the next iteration. Get it done. |

LS is really all that matters. Those SSes are awesome though I like the way g8s look a little better. |

It's exactly what I want though so I left one of their sales men a message. I.would expect to hear from them first thing in the morning. I'm still going to drive the automatic tomorrow though lol |

I don't know if you live in KC, but (and this applies to others), is there a car store that would carry these types and do the labor as well, for a reasonable price? |
Hey any of you guys have a good tire guy around mid MO..one of the tires on my Creep Wrangler failed and I'm looking to replace it
General Grabber AT2 size 265/70R15 |

They are crazy. Ever since they announced they were gone dealers act like they are gold. I don't need it, I just want it. I can't stomach paying 10 grand more today than I could have 6 weeks ago. I drove the **** out of one Friday afternoon though. The sales man said "those brembos are really getting a workout" just about the same time they started smoking. ROFL. Automatic even and I would have bought it right then had they sold it to me for the price it was at the end of March. |

I don't buy tires anywhere else anymore for my daily driver cars, nobody can seem to beat SAM's prices as far as I can tell and its usually significant. Last set I bought for my old truck were $50 cheaper per tire than anywhere else for the exact same thing. |
Quote:
I have a feeling I'll end up with one, it just may take a couple months lol. Hell there are dealers that still have brand new 2015s on the lot. No 16s though. They had a factory 20 percent rebate in March and sold a little over a thousand that month They have sold less than 400 otherwise this year. I feel like I'm in a strong position. Dealers and chevy think people will want them more since they announced it's going away. It doesn't appear to be helping much by looking at the numbers. |

CTS-V do it. Much better car. |

I can't really justify that. |
A buddy of mine has an 86 mustang GT ragtop. He got it for his son to restore but it never happened. It's in "good" condition, runs, drives, shifts, stops. 78k miles. It's a 302ci (5.0). I think I can get him to let it go for $2200 or so. Certainly no classic, but a 302 ragtop none the less. Taking it for a spin tomorrow.
|
Well good ol Walmart pulls through with the tire for $123 but it won't be here till Tuesday

Mustangs are redneck cars though. Be prepared for the name calling. |

It was a Ford motor, probably 6,700 I'm guessing. It was probably six weeks ago when I got it done. I can look. I wouldn't doubt he's got more than half that in the engine alone, plus the super charger. It's dark blue with gray on the bottom. I've never even opened the hood yet though. Someone else did the work. I'll get it out tomorrow and shoot some pics and look it over |
Im not sure he's driven it a hundred miles since the engine was installed
|
I've got several cool rides at the shop right now, the mustang. A 68 long bed Chevy that is pretty nice. A step side short bed 72 that's going on the power tour again next week.
Putting an engine in the 68. The step side has an oil leak that I'm going to fix again. It's been an issue through multiple builds of this block at the rear main. I finally got it sealed (after everyone and their mother tried, and it took me three tries) and then he pulled the motor after losing a piston and built it back to a 355 instead of a 383, thought the crank was the leak issue. It wasn't. I'm hoping I've got it fixed again. I'll know in the morning. |

And anyone that can guess what that vehicle with the baby blue paint and bumper on the backside on that engine pic is gets a plus 1 from me.
No cheating lol |
