I saw them, Grand Canyon, win their first two NAIA championships in KC back in the day at Kemper. My team, in the 70's, Washburn, just couldn't get past Marymount (Salina) or Kearney St (Neb) to get a bid.

Those NAIA battles between Washburn, Rockhurst, St Benedict's (now Benedictine) were great fun. The old Great Plains Athletic Conference. Then to the CSIC.
