Hawks up 19 and choked this game away. Deng with the game winning layup

okcchief 01-03-2012 09:35 PM

Nice comeback by the Bulls.

OKC drops to 5-2 but I'll take it with the tough early schedule. Scott Brooks needs to find answers on offense because the ball movement has been stagnant all year.

We looked a lot worse at this time last year so hopefully things improve after a few days off.

You guys need another scoring option. They probably need to move Harden into the starting lineup.

That's what everyone keeps saying but I like Harden off the bench as long as he plays 32-35 minutes. Harden did start tonight as Sefalosha was out with the flu. Our main problem this season is Russ' shot isn't falling. Tonight Durant couldn't find the basket. We just looked tired. We played in Dallas and Portland had the day off. It's going to happen to everyone with the way the schedule is set up. We'll be one of the better teams when it's all said and done IMO. I think we have the players but I question our offensive flow for sure.

They should totally trade for Jeff Green. Boston's not really using him, are they?

Ouch.

I said at the time Jeff Green being traded would let Harden take shots. We've been a better team since that trade and now Perk looks like a player as well.

I definitely wouldn't object if someone wanted to trade us a low post scorer :)

Where does Harden fit in, though? Who's starting above him right now?

From what I saw in the playoffs last year and in two Thunder games this year (1st Mavs game and Minnesota) he's a consistent beast that needs to see the court more. I assume Durant is playing the 3 so they can free up the guards, yeah?

Good point. If you take Harden off the 2nd team then you really don't have a scoring option coming off the bench.

Must-see TV on Thursday:

Quote:

MIAMI— Charles Barkley, who spent much of last season telling the Miami Heat what they weren't, will be able to tell it to their faces Thursday.

TNT announced Tuesday that Barkley will be courtside as an analyst Thursday for the network's broadcast in Atlanta against the Hawks.

Barkley, a mainstay in the TNT studio, which is located adjacent to Philips Arena, will work courtside alongside play-by-play man Kevin Harlan and analyst Reggie Miller.

Chris Webber will step in for Barkley in TNT's studio.

RealSNR 01-04-2012 07:30 PM

Wolves look like poop for first 7 minutes. Get outscored 18-6.

Rubio comes in, they start to play defense and operate a real offense.

Adelman is a refreshing coaching change for this team and all, but he sounds like Scott Pioli with all his "evaluation period" bullshit he keeps talking about.

Start Rubio. It simply has to happen.

RealSNR 01-04-2012 07:34 PM

Also, I'm sick of Beasley's shit. The dude is insecure or something, because he has almost no confidence in any of his shots.

DaKCMan AP 01-04-2012 07:51 PM

No Wade tonight for Miami.

James Jones steps into the starting lineup and has 4 3-pointers and 14pts in the 1st half while Lebron is working on a triple-double.

Indiana 39
Miami 62

it was a god damn abortion. I cant stand the POS bandwagon Heat "fans".

KevB 01-04-2012 10:32 PM

Steph Curry twisted his ankle.....AGAIN. I can't believe I was dumb enough to draft that guy again. Too bad, because he and Monta in the same backcourt is fun to watch.

Chiefs Pantalones 01-04-2012 10:39 PM

Dominating win tonight vs. the Pistons. Boozer has been surprisingly decent during this little 5 game win streak. I'm still pissed over last year.

DaKCMan AP 01-05-2012 06:59 PM

No Wade & No Lebron tonight @ Atlanta. ****.

I'm sure TNT is pissed as **** too.

DaKCMan AP 01-05-2012 07:41 PM

Miami hanging tough and killing Atlanta on the boards and in the paint.

Miami 22

Heat get a nice lead in the 3rd qtr then Bosh gets in foul trouble and they go on a big drought. Atlanta scores 16 of last 17 pts in the quarter.

Miami 68
Atlanta 70

End of 3

They bring him off the bench to provide a scoring punch when the sit down Durant. He plays starter minutes though. He's clearly the second best player on the team right now.

RustShack 01-05-2012 09:27 PM

Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson are both going to be studs.

chuxtrux 01-05-2012 09:33 PM

I could see the Cavs sneaking into the playoffs as a 8 seed with Irving playing so well.

I really hope they can sneak into the playoffs with a rookie leading the show. I think they will make some noise in the offseason next year picking up some players though so I'm pretty excited for their future again.

Holy shit. Bosh hits a 3 with 0.6secs left to tie the game.

okcchief 01-05-2012 09:56 PM

The East is weak after the first few teams so nothing is a surprise after that.

okcchief 01-05-2012 09:56 PM

Barkley and Miller have no filter. It's great lol

Lebron + Wade both played that game. Wade did play hurt and was 4/17 shooting, but Atlanta earned that win.

IT's amazing how athleticism rules in the NBA. Guys have made it that have no skill at all.

Can't dribble shoot or pass. But they can run and jump.

DaKCMan AP 01-05-2012 10:09 PM

Heat up 4 in OT with 54secs left.

Sports really are amazing.

okcchief 01-05-2012 10:10 PM

I'm not gonna lie. Miami is gonna be tough to beat this year. The role players are a lot better.

Costly win for the Thunder tonight. Eric Maynor most likely gone for a long time with a knee injury. That Reggie Jackson draft pick looking pretty ****ing good all in the sudden. He'll have to grow up quick now.

Chiefs Pantalones 01-13-2012 08:28 PM

Bulls are killing the C's at the half. I'm surprised we're doing so well this early. I was expecting a slow start like half the league. Rose still needs more help though.

I"m hoping that their style of play and is better suited for a compressed season like they have this year with a lot of back to back games and little time for teams to rest.

Anyone know a good site for NBA torrents? My daughter got to meet KD again before the game yesterday. He gave her a hug and my mom said it made the broadcast. She DVR'd it but I sure would like the torrent.

KevB 01-15-2012 09:40 PM

Steve Nash is just a freak of nature. My god that guy is still so good. He gets his teammates more wide open shots than anybody I've ever seen at any level.

My Celtics just suck and are old...really old.

And Danny Ainge is a dumb ****

If it wasn't for the awesome Rondo the Celts would really suck. Now only down 1

okcchief 01-16-2012 08:51 PM

OKC isn't playing that great tonight either. Rondo is great. KG and Pierce look like they didn't touch a basketball for months. Allen looks like he's in shape but he hasn't seen the ball much.

okcchief 01-16-2012 08:53 PM

Harden is off tonight. He's usually our most consistent player.

This season is crazy. Heat, down 14 at the half to San Antonio, score 71 in the 2nd half and win by 22.

Mike Miller, in his first game of the season, shoots 6-6 from 3.

lcarus 01-17-2012 11:37 PM

Magic are looking pretty good. Hope Dwight wakes up and decides to stay. I'm thinking he just wants to go to LA or NY for the bigger market so he can elevate his "brand" or whatever. Which is lame as ****. He's on a good team with a pretty decent coach. If he stuck around, they'd get him another star caliber player soon enough. Orlando would be able to offer him the biggest contract and Florida has no individual income tax. So that's a bonus as well.

Lakers desperately need some shooters. Outside of Kobe they have NO ONE at all that can hit a jumpshot with any consistancy. Its bad right now. Blake was doing pretty well, but he's out.

Until they get that fixed they are in big trouble. I thought Kapono was going to be decent in that roll, but all of a sudden dude's been sucking as bad as metta world peace. I never seen a team miss so many wide open jumpshots in my life. Almost feels like the 2006 season all over again in some ways.

The other night, Kobe asked one of the reporters if she can hit a open jumpshot. haha

I was trying to dig at LA Chieffan, but that tactic never works on evil genius master troll artists.

The guy I feel sorry for most is Mike Brown. The Lakers are playing better defense since he came to town, but there's just a whoooole lot of sucking going on right now. Brown's not that adept of a coach in terms of coaching up young guys (at least he failed pretty hard at it when he was in Cleveland). That being said, he's actually a decent coach, but he looks really bad right now.
