I don't know if this is appropriate or not, James, but if you think it is, please post a photo of your dad for those of us who have not met him in person. And I would ask a mod to put it up in the Chiefs Planet header for a year.

Logical has been one of the original posters here and much appreciated. All the stuff that needed to be said has been said here. I think we should do this. I think he deserves this.

Any thoughts?

Mr. Plow 05-01-2009 08:46 AM

RIP Logical. Prayers to all of your family.

This too. If not permanently, maybe at least for a year.

(Edit: I have noticed several other posters have suggested this as well. I'm fully behind this idea. I wonder if a vote is even needed.)

bevischief 05-01-2009 08:51 AM

Sorry to hear that.o:-)

Donger 05-01-2009 08:53 AM

This is indeed sad, sad news. Strength to your family.

DaFace 05-01-2009 09:01 AM

I'll work on the header this weekend. It takes a bit to put those together.

I'll change the Lounge name for now, but I don't know that it needs to be for a long period of time.

Lzen 05-01-2009 09:03 AM

Wow, I'm sorry I missed this thread until now. Jim, despite some of his stances, was a good guy, IMO. He will be missed on Chiefs Planet. Prayers for your family in dealing with the grief of a passed loved one.

EyePod 05-01-2009 09:04 AM

Wish I got to know him.

BigChiefFan 05-01-2009 09:06 AM

Jim will be greatly missed. I'm deeply saddened by this.

Dartgod 05-01-2009 09:09 AM

My condolences go out to you and all of your family, James. Your dad was a ChiefsPlanet legend and will be missed greatly.

Rest In Peace, Jim...

Rest in Peace Jim
God Bless

King_Chief_Fan 05-01-2009 09:25 AM

James-
God bless you and your family. Based on a previous post you made, I think you and your family can take comfort that he is now in a better place with no suffering and enjoying the after life as God has intended and promised through Jesus.

FishingRod 05-01-2009 09:31 AM

James-
My best to you and your family. I always enjoyed arguing with and against Jim. I will miss him.

oldandslow 05-01-2009 09:32 AM

Spicy McHaggis 05-01-2009 09:35 AM

Prayers and thoughts for you and your family. I never had the honor of meeting Jim in person but I know that I enjoyed conversing with him through this medium. It will never be the same without him.

Jim Will Be Missed

Jim was and will always be one of the most respected members on this forum. He was a great help, supporter and contributor to the 37 Forever cause and for that especially, I will always remember him with the highest regard.

I'm very sorry he had to suffer like he did at the end but he's now in a better place. When the Chiefs win the Super Bowl sometime in our lifetimes, he'll be above that football field, proud as any of us.

RIP Jim and God speed to him and to all his loved ones.

RJ 05-01-2009 10:19 AM

Titanman, my condolences to you and your sister. I lost my dad just a few months ago. It hurts. Take good care of yourselves and each other.

RIP Jim/Logical. I enjoyed knowing you all these years, even though we never met.

shakesthecat 05-01-2009 10:25 AM

RIP Jim

mlyonsd 05-01-2009 10:28 AM

One thing you could count on Jim for was trying to keep you honest.

RIP Jim.

Thoughts and prayers to the family. Hopefully reading this thread will at least give you a little solace knowing how well he was respected. Mostly by people that never even met him face to face.

greg63 05-01-2009 10:38 AM

RIP Jim, you are missed!

Amnorix 05-01-2009 10:50 AM

Ah damn. Rest in Peace Logical.

P.S. I always thought his avatar was among the cooler ones on here.

Soupnazi 05-01-2009 11:08 AM

That's a guy that has been missed and will continue to be missed. So sorry to hear this news. Prayers for your family. RIP Jim.

googlegoogle 05-01-2009 11:38 AM

Rip. Good guy.

Que Card QB 05-01-2009 12:04 PM

Sorry to hear. Sounds like he was a great dad.

Duck Dog 05-01-2009 12:13 PM

It makes the numb feelings that are inherent with Internet anonymity come to life. RIP, you SOB.

Sincere condolences and positive thoughts to the family.

jjjayb 05-01-2009 12:19 PM

Wow. Sorry to hear he passed. I'm sure he's upstairs watching the Chiefs win a superbowl.

Raiderhater 05-01-2009 12:58 PM

My Lord, I've been away too long.....

Goodbye old friend.

burt 05-01-2009 01:15 PM

Please don't tell Jim he made me cry at work....again. Goodbye Logic, we didn't always get along....and I will miss you greatly.

ChiefsOne 05-01-2009 01:19 PM

Very sorry to hear and will miss the "Logical" post! Always entertaining.

PhillyChiefFan 05-01-2009 01:25 PM

Terrible news to read, very very sorry for your loss Titanman.

RIP Jim.

MahiMike 05-01-2009 01:30 PM

Sorry for your loss. Good luck to you and your family.

Valiant 05-01-2009 02:11 PM

So so sorry for you all.. RIP..

Pitt Gorilla 05-01-2009 02:13 PM

That is terrible news. Log was easily one of my favorite posters and seemed like a genuinely good person. I really do wish all of his family the very best.

HolmeZz 05-01-2009 03:33 PM

:(

Just went back through all the rep comments Jim left me over the last couple of years.

Mr. Flopnuts 05-01-2009 03:36 PM

Jim helped me gain perspective in a variety of arenas. I'm stunned at how much it hurts to lose someone I never even met. This is gonna take some time to heal from. That in itself should be a testament to the kind of man Jim was.

stlchiefs 05-01-2009 04:21 PM

I'm sorry for your loss Mr. Titanman. RIP Logical.

KcMizzou 05-01-2009 04:59 PM

Really sorry to hear this. Best wishes to the family.

ROYC75 05-01-2009 05:24 PM

I'm sorry I found this thread so late. Rest in Peace Jim, you are sadly missed. But I find great peace and joy knowing that Jim found God before it was too late in his life. He was a fine man to be around and had one of the biggest hearts a man could have.

listopencil 05-01-2009 05:39 PM

He was one of the first people I interacted with on this board, and one of the reasons I kept coming back. I miss him already. RIP my friend.

Phobia 05-01-2009 06:36 PM

Jim was a huge fan of the Hall of Classics. Perhaps something could be done to honor him in name with that forum.

FWIW, Buster was the name of a dog. He was his dog's dad so the current forum name honoring both of our deceased is a bit of a misnomer.

Silock 05-01-2009 06:40 PM

RIP Logical

Not sure what else to say. That's terrible news.

Mosbonian 05-01-2009 06:43 PM

RIP Jim.....

Titanman...prayers go out to you and your family. Jim was a good man who while not always agreeing with me, always showed respect. May God be with your family in this time of sorrow.

Buster's Dad passed earlier this year. That's why it Logical & Buster's instead of the Lounge.

Archie F. Swin 05-01-2009 08:38 PM

Far too young. :(

Hope you all have been doing ok, given the circumstances. Lots of positive thoughts and wishes have gone your way.

Yeah. "Logical and Buster's Dad's" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

DaFace 05-01-2009 11:31 PM

Got the pic added to the header rotation, so you'll see it every once in a while (or you can preview it here). Stevie mentioned sending a few others my way, so hopefully I'll be able to cook one up that looks a little better. It's hard to fit stuff in that narrow frame!

CHIEF4EVER 05-01-2009 11:35 PM

RIP Jim. I will miss you but I will see you again. I look forward to it.

Huffman83 05-02-2009 12:52 AM

You will be missed Logical... You will always be in the hearts of us Chiefs fans and this message board.

Rest in Peace my friend.

Calcountry 05-02-2009 11:07 AM

So long Jim. You irritated me so profoundly, however, you were always polite and a gentleman. Somthing that I can learn from. Buddy, now you may be at peace, and may all the questions you have now be answered.

God bless your family, sorry for your loss.

Cool - the one on the right may be the permanent addition to the banner.

Rain Man 05-02-2009 03:46 PM

Perhaps in Jim's honor we should have a large argument in this thread.

(Oh, stop it. You know he would've laughed at that.)

Demonpenz 05-02-2009 05:07 PM

I wonder if Big Daddy knows?

googlegoogle 05-02-2009 06:40 PM

And he wont see the Chiefs hoist the Lombardi. Blame Peterson for wasted years.

I'm sure where your at the girls are all pretty, the beer is always cold and the Chiefs are always winners.
