LMAO Not a chance. Probably in the 15 million AAV range

15 a year for Browns production is approaching MvS overpayment territory.

Approaching? It's firmly planted in that neighborhood.

If his pay was based on production, he'd be getting like 1/$7M.

But the Falcons went and gave Mooney $13M, so he's getting at least that unless his agent is just a complete mongo.

Last time he had a healthy QB for a whole year he had a 1k yard season.

Don't get me wrong, I think it'll be like 18 and an overpay, but let's not act like we'd be paying a guy who's never shown he can produce.

Possibly, but maybe not?

$15 million in available cap space. If they do a 3/45 type of contract, I would imagine the first year cap hit wouldn't be anymore than $10 mil. Gonna need roughly $10 mil. set aside for the rookie class.

So a simple restructure (Taylor?) or an extension (Reid?) could free up the extra space they need to make it work and keep Sneed under the tag.

I still think they will end up trading Sneed, but if teams are gonna continue to lowball them on offers (which sounds like that may be happening) then the Chiefs aren't gonna just give him away. They're a better team with him than without him.

If nothing else, they may just hold onto him till draft day where teams can see there's no CB available like Sneed. Or if someone has an eye on a particular player and they 'miss out', then pivot to a trade for Sneed with their second round pick.

If a trade doesn't happen in the next couple days, I would expect it to linger till the draft. And if for whatever reason nothing materializes there, then we get to keep Sneed for one more year for a run at a 3 peat. Win win.

He's gonna put up 1200 yards and 8 TD's and I'm driving to OTWP house to get my bourbon back and shit in his yard.

One of those players has played with 2 of the best QBs in NFL history and the others best QB was actually a running back. I don't think they're comparable at all.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-13-2024 08:13 AM

I like it. Especially when a turd like Mooney seemed like the alternative. Ridley seems to have a handshake deal with Jax to save a 2nd rounder

DaFace 03-13-2024 08:13 AM

Seems more like wishful thinking than rumor.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-13-2024 08:14 AM

Idk how many times it needs said, you have to project outward with players who are entering new environments

A down year with Clayton Tune / Josh Dobbs doesn't equate to true value

Hmm.. Same as Sky.. Not really encouraged with this chart…

Predicted him before FA started. Think spending on him is way better than Mooney. Hollywood is an ideal fit for what we need next to Rice.

Look at coordinates (0.05, 0.02)...

seems like he gets great separation but doesn't get much YAC

Again, this guy has been calling his shot throughout free agency.

He might be wrong, but it would be the first the he has been so far.

And one of them pulled a bitch ass move to ask for a trade when he was a rookie who hadn't really accomplished much in his short career. And gets injured all the time.

Sorry, but I see nothing but Sammy Watkins disappointment with this move if we pay him that much.
