I'm not a fan of Alex Smith, but you won't find many posts of me bashing on Smith as my reasons for Mahomes starting sometime after the bye week.

I don't happen to agreee with Dane that it is going to take a plane crash to keep this team from being 12-4 or better.

I think this is Mahomes team to open the 2018 season. I also see a scenario that has us under .500 after 10 games this season. If, and that is a big if, that happens, I see Mahomes getting 2 or 3 starts late in the season so they... the coaches and Mahomes... have tape to study during the offseason about things Mahomes did right and wrong to help Mahomes be the best possible starter he can come opening day 2018.

Now if they are 7-2 at the Bye and 8-2 after 10 as Dane suggests, Smith isn't coming out of the lineup.

I knew a guy in college that would freeze Nyquil. After it was frozen there was always some stuff on top that wouldn't freeze. He would drink that followed up with smoking a joint. The guy would be out in space for at least two days, sometimes longer after his little lab rat test. I still run into the guy once or twice a year and his brain is completely fired.
