Hadn't seen this news. It's sad that it took literally a month to win enough home games that people noticed this and started asking questions.

They couldn’t justify paying a guy full time wages for part time work.

Did he fist a cheerleader?

SPchief 04-29-2018 10:09 PM

He ran the hall of fame right? Something had to have happened behind the scenes

Nah, he was the guy who put the "W" on the hall of fame building in left field when the Royals win a game.

It's funny, since he isn't here anymore, no wonder the team sucked.

tk13 04-29-2018 10:25 PM

I think he worked in the Hall of Fame, but he didn't run it.

It does sound like he was pretty well ingrained in some of the HOF and community service work the team does. Wonder what happened. Or maybe he just got burned out. Sounds like he worked pretty hard at it.

The dude could not have picked a better time for his run. Imagine if he started this season? He’d have been as ridiculed as he was in the beginning of 2014, but by the end of that season, the dude was a straight up legend.

Hmm, thanks for this. Good read, and before reading this, I always thought he WAS Curt Nelson

Maybe he can get on with a Civil War re-enactment crew or something.

Yeah, not gonna lie, I kind of agree with this. At best, it was tired and had run it's course.

Alex Gordon is hitting .265. That's the highest his BA has been since he was hitting .267 on April 14, 2016.
