My main annoyance with the Eddie death is that it seemed completely unnecessary. They already had distracted the bats to let them get into the house. They had a way back through the portal. And yet he doesn't take it because he didn't want to run?? If they needed more distraction all they had to do was simply wait until the bats left and climb back through the portal and just walk back outside and start playing music again. One of the most pointless "heroic" deaths I've ever seen in a show.
The other reason I wish they would have killed off some others is that there are getting to be way too many characters and it's hard to feel for all of them. Why am I supposed to care about Will possibly being gay when he has like 20 minutes of screen time the entire season? Why am I supposed to care about a possible love triangle when the boyfriend and girlfriend in said triangle don't speak to each other for the entire season except for an awkward hug at the end? The Russia side plot may as well have been an entirely different show. Consolidating the cast would add some stakes and streamline the show so that you care about all of the characters without having some being left out.

I think Max is still with Vecna which is why 11 couldn’t find her. I think they’ll save her but she might be permanently blind.
Will is obviously going to be a main part of the final season. I could see him being like a horcrux type of situation where he can’t escape the fate.

One of these original characters has to die for this show to seem more real IMO I think Will is a good guess. Obviously 11 is the best betting odds to die next season. The gov is coming after her and her presence lures terrible things from the upside down, also bc she can open gates to the upside down.

I think she sacrifices herself to save everyone or the story ends with her trapping herself in the upside down to ensure nobody from reality can open the gate again.
