As it should be. I don't know What the hell you see in Bray that would indicate he can win an NFL game. Elite arm but between the ears he's lacking.

Chris Jones off the PUP list. He's practicing.

You know who's not lacking between the ears?

Smith and Mahomes.

You know who's not lacking balls between his legs?

Mahomes.

This is going to be a shorter ride between point A and point B than most people think.

I think Mahomes won the #2 slot just as much on his performance as on Bray's. If Mahomes succeeds in the next game, I think that slot solidifies as his. The only thing keeping Bray on the team next year is Stave sucking and Smith leaving.

I don't agree with the notion that Bray played as badly as most here paint it, but his total lack of mobility, and with how easily he goes down with any kind of pressure makes him more of a liability than an asset.

I would not want to see him ever taking any significant snaps.

Kareem Hunt needs more touches.

staylor26 08-13-2017 08:57 AM

I think it's pretty obvious they were trying to figure out West vs Spiller because Hunt is clearly the #2

In offense drill, down 8 pts, 1:04 remaining, 3&10 from the 13 yard line, Mahomes smoothly converts two passes to Thomas for TD, 2pt conv.

Agree. A leg only has so many kicks a day in it.

Agreed. So do you roll with Mahomes as the #2 or do you go out and sign a vet?

Coogs 08-13-2017 12:41 PM

Paxton Lynch was the backup for Denver last season. He played in 3 games, starting 2 and had a 1-1 record as a starter, and they won the other game as well.

Are those 3 appearances the reason he sux now? It wouldn't appear to be by the numbers he put up.

Probably a coaching change problem would be more my guess.

IMO, they let allow Bray to ride it out all of preseason in hopes of seeing improvement and if he doesn't, cut him at the end of TC and sign Matt Flynn to be the #3 guy.

He's a WCO QB and reportedly a good locker room guy. Then they'll need to draft a potential backup in 2018.

Yet Travis Kelce is "inconsistent" and just needs to "catch the damn ball."

Could it be that EVERY team has issues with dropped passes and every receiver, even the really good ones, will drop their fair share of stuff thrown their way?
