Zombo got his ass whooped but also out hustled the rest of the defense and almost made the tackle. The lack of effort on that season deciding play is the reason that fans care way more than the actual players do.

Once we didn't convert on that last possession the defense knew they were in that "sleeper hold" and definitely tapped out because they were gassed out being on the field for the whole 2nd half.

He could have at least tried.

People around here hate kicking FGs but when we missed that gift FG in the 3rd qtr I knew we were in big trouble.

Not sure if it would have mattered. Titans score on that last possession if they want to rather than run out the clock.

You guys see Ramsey knock that TE short of the 1st down? Big hits by CB is something the Chiefs need.

Poor Zombo will never hear the end of it.:shake:

Never ever had a problem with Zombo's effort. He goes all out every down from what I've seen.

Unfortunately he's awful.

Because he knew he just got punked by a QB.

And this is the downside of not making players contracts more incentive laden as opposed to them already getting their hundreds of thousands/ millions of dollars ahead of time and guaranteed. "Hey I already got my $$ whether I win or lose", besides it's just too damn cold to be out here playing football". I don't need no RING cuz I got a Ferrari !!:D

Never said Zombo's effort was an issue. It just made Zombo's effort more intense because he just got taken out by a QB and he knew it.

kcpasco 01-07-2018 02:08 PM

Berry would have came up and knocked him on his ass.

Same with Sorenson. It's what makes them valuable in ST and as depth... just utterly lacking in ability which makes them a liability as starters.

Fair, but I think it changes the game dramatically.

Yes it was an inside run but you flow to the ball regardless, it's not like playing a zone where you just pass off. Regardless if Zombo failed at setting the edge, DJ is completely frozen midfield. I would expect our 3-down MLB to play sideline to sideline, but maybe that's too much to expect out of a 35 year old linebacker? :hmmm:

Yes, asking a 35 year old LB to chase down a RB who was clocked at 22 mph earlier in the season is probably a bit much.

Asking Zombo to not get bodied by a ****ing pretty boy surfer on the most important defensive snap of the game is NOT asking too much.
