Also, I think it's time for Pawnmower and Clay to do their thing...

Can’t embed Chris Jones latest tweet- but it doesn’t look good for him being a Chief.
He alludes to not being valued. “Don’t ever stay in a place that doesn’t suit you.” |

No prob. Yeah, at the very least that's posturing.

Miami has 2-1sts and 2-2nds in the next draft. They have the ammo for a trade and almost $21M in cap space.
2021 First Round: They are probably picking top 15 next year, and mid 20's. 2021 Second Round: They are probably picking 33-48, and 54-60. If they would give us the ~24th and ~43rd pick, plus future cap freedom, that may not be too bad... Still would love for Chris to stay, though. |
At this point I have a feeling it comes down to Jones willingness to be reasonable. If he is wanting 21+/annually you pretty much have to let him walk. He is not Aaron Donald and if someone else is willing to pay him comparably I would likely let them. He is a monster a lot, at the same times there numerous games he just disappears.
I hope they can work something out but I can't be very optimistic at this point. |
