Then they doubled down on stupid:

Not only did Cleveland trade three first-round picks to add the quarterback, but they immediately signed him to an unprecedented fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract.

I used to think the Russ trade and contract was the worst of all time, but my god, how can you beat the Watson trade? 3 first round picks, among many others, and a market resetting fully guaranteed contract? And in the middle of the allegations?

God, only the Browns.

I can't think of anything close to that with the exception of Hershel Walker but even that trade was miles apart from the Browns stupidity.

I'll still favor the bills trading the 10th pick to us as the greatest haul ever. Best qb ever and the 3 superbowl rings and 2 mvps and counting...

Bills gifting us Mahomes and settling for a lesser QB in Allen is just as disastrous

Very true. At least Hershel was great though.
Plus, the money they gave Watson hurt them so bad financially

The really crazy part is the browns actually made the playoffs last year with having to play so many starting QB’s!

The Browns clinched a playoff berth in Week 17 to become the first team in NFL history to make the playoffs after starting four different quarterbacks in a season. For Sunday's season finale against the the Bengals, Cleveland will make it five different starting quarterbacks.

Crazy

When you miss out on the greatest player ever it has to be #1

Missing on mahomes is worst mistake ever for rest of nfl

and Mahomes changed everything... A talent like Mahomes will never go that low again. Teams, since Mahomes, reach. Just like this year 4-5 QBs in the top 10. Just crazy how everyone is looking for the next Mahomes, but in the voice of the late great Meatloaf, there is no "Coupe De Ville in the bottom of a Cracker Jack Box"...

Terrible ownership. Their owner hired a defensive head coach and let him run the draft in 2017 despite having no front office background, scouting experience, or even pro personnel work on his resume.

And the QB Mcdermott liked was Mitch Trubisky.
