You should go rewatch it then.

I am guessing you are just more partial to the other characters..

nah. I really have no desire to see it again.

Out of all the Marvel flicks, I think I have liked Iron Man 1, CAptain 2 and Thor the best.

Wow. Interesting. IM1 was good, but IMO Marvel films are much better and have come a looking ways since those first two of IM1 and Incredible Hulk.

Hulk I can see, but Iron Man stands up.

Guardians of the Galaxy was pretty, to be sure - it managed to be a space opera without ever losing its sense of 'realism'. That is, unlike a movie like Avatar, I never saw something that made me roll my eyes and think, even subconsciously, 'that's fake' - and considering it had a talking raccoon and a giant tree, that's a pretty strong statement.

But it had its problems. Big ones. Big ones, with the plot and the predictability, and the predictable formula and the shallow villains, and with the giant deus ex machina at the end. Also, with the Michael Rooker, who did take me right out of the action every time Merle - err, I mean Yondu - was on screen.

It sure was good, but not the best.

I just tried to read the plot synopsis of this movie on Wikipedi and all I can say is - you people are hard up for sci-fi nowadays.

Maybe try going to see it instead of trying to read a plot synopsis.

I knew nothing of this prior to seeing it... I noticed 90%+ on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes...

the movie was fun, campy... didn't take itself too seriously... a goofy fantasy. I thoroughly enjoyed it.... in that shut off your brain kind of way.

Looking forward to the sequel.

Starfox would be a brilliant addition to the Marvel franchise. One small problem I have with it, however, is that Gamora and Quill end up as first cousins.

Which, of course, isn't a fatal problem, as Star Wars demonstrated.

Gamora is ADOPTED.

It probably is Eros.

Glad she didn't ruin it. ;)

When the initial trailer was released, I thought I'd hate it.
I LOVED it. Marvel's kicked ass and taken names this year.

Pitt Gorilla 08-23-2014 04:54 PM

I love it because it's not the same tired characters. Superman and Batman? Ick.
