Through 23 games.

2018 - 5 wins, 18 losses.

2006 - 5 wins, 18 losses. That 2006 team finished the season with 62-100.

It sure looks like it early, but I still can't believe this team is as bad as that 2006 team. There's no way. Mark Redman was literally the best pitcher and All-Star, and he had nearly a 6 ERA. Mark Teahen was the best hitter, Burgos was the closer and he had something like a 5 ERA. Go back and look at that 2006 team, there were no bright spots. Certainly no one in the same universe as Salvy or Moose or even Duffy or Whit or Herrera.

I know it's early, but the 2006 team whole season stats was:

.271 BA/.332 OBP/.411 SLG/.743 OPS

5.65 ERA/83 ERA+/5.29 FIP/1.602 WHIP

So far in 2018, again, I know its early and it's a small size compared to the whole season from 2006, but it's worth comparing.

.237 BA/.305 OBP/.359 SLG/.664 OPS

5.18 ERA/86 ERA+/4.80 FIP/1.409 WHIP

That's brutal.

Figures...

Yeah, this year is going to be tough to make that choice.

BATS Crown Club.

Before the Royals 2014 run, some friends and I bought Crown seats before the game on StubHub for like $100/per ticket. You just have to watch those seats and strike when the people get desperate.

Weeknight games are best.

I'll be in attendance tonight, so expect a worse than usual outcome for the Royals and Chiefs. Last time I was at a Royals game while the Chiefs were on the clock, they drafted Tyson Jackson.

Haha, I remember walking through the gate when someone announced it and the 43 other people at the game that day were all like "who?".

Crown seats are the first few rows right behind the fence, Diamond Club are behind those. Crown sell for 200+ typically, though a buddy once score a pair for about 85 each right before game time on a weeknight.

Well they drafted an SEC defensive lineman.

ChiefsCountry 04-27-2018 06:33 PM

Moosedong

petegz28 04-27-2018 06:45 PM

Get a lead....then immediately walk the leadoff batter.....

The Royals never saw a lead they wouldn't blow

petegz28 04-27-2018 06:49 PM

Well, there you go....lead off walk, Whit can't turn a routine DP and suddenly the tying run is 90 ft away with 1 out.......and now it's tied......

LMAO

petegz28 04-27-2018 07:25 PM

And Danny Duffy decides we don't want to win this game either....
