I always read Billay's posts as "Scotty" so the tough guy schtick entertains me.

Whenever I have built good neighbor fences and one side of the board is a bit rougher than the other, the nice side faces whoever is paying for the fence and labor. If both are sharing the costs, I alternate the 8' bays splitting good side vs rough side equally. Most fences have a seasoned look within a year anyway and all is forgotten.

I've always pictured billay as Freddy Mercury with red hair posting from inside his glory hole waiting to spar at his next karate class being held in the mall.

Perhaps if you wouldn't have been that neighbor constantly staring at them they wouldn't have gone with the 6ft fence.

LMAO

Brand new 6ft privacy fence where there was a 3ft picket fence. Since it is a new visual it adds to the annoyance.

I bet you could hire Stevie Ray to paint a mural of a 3-foot picket fence on the new fence.

And then in the mural he could also paint the neighbors' attractive college-age daughter sunbathing naked.

None of them have attractive college-age daughters. :(

Then he failed since it would have needed to be a 12ft fence.

You got a free fence. I asked a neighbor once to split the cost of a fence and he told be to pound sand so he got the ugly side.

ToxSocks 02-11-2022 10:41 AM

My neighbor just dug a trench in my backyard along our fence. Said that water was leaking under/through the cement cinderblocks that my fence is built on top of and into his garage. Asked me if he could dig it up, and seal it on my side. He dug it, sealed it, lined it with plastic and re-buried. Great guy.

Only half a free fence. This property line between this neighbor and the one next to them intersects ours at almost exactly the middle.

So now a shitty looking privacy fence, has uneven gaps between many slats, along half and then a 40+ year old chain link the rest of the way.

ToxSocks 02-11-2022 10:42 AM

We're gonna need pictures of said fence.

Wait what? I do not follow this. Is there a hole in the fencing?
