To stop Mahomes?
Patriots' secondary. 49ers DL, but swap Dee Ford for Aaron Donald. 49ers LB. That would probably do it. |
1. You have disrupt the timing of our routes. You cannot let our speedy receivers have a free release at the line of scrimmage. The problem with this strategy is that it is very high risk (see Sammy Watkins steamrolling the Titans CB for the game-clinching TD bomb). It requires super athletic corners and safeties.
2. Pressure up the middle. You have to generate pressure with 4. Use stunts, twists, fake pressure and drop outs to bring pressure up the middle of the Oline. Pressure from edges will cause Mahomes to leave the pocket, which can be problematic in and of itself. Pressure up the gut is more difficult to escape. Additionally, the Chiefs Oline is weakest in the middle, so this strategy makes sense in a couple ways. |
You can't! Also this team been strong all year their not stopping now.
|
Also our oline since erving left been awesome. They really protected pat and hive him time to find open players.
|
God forbid but only an injury can stop him.

Ketchup on the football.
|
Easy.
Hope the Chiefs re-hire Bob Sutton as defensive coordinator. Hope the Chiefs re-hire Alex Smiff and for some reason start him. Those are the only two things that can stop Patrick Motherf****** Mahomes. |
Thug it up and try to hurt him.
It's literally the only way. The refs need to be watching carefully from here on out as I suspect teams will be taking cheap shots at Pat any chance they get. |
Put 24 defensive players on the field but that's usually a penalty.
|
Stop? You probably don’t.
Slow? Pressure. |
That ketchup on his steak mother ****er?
