I don't know if I believe the moral of this story. It sounds too dramatic and lacks realism.

Yeah, like he had a gun pointed towards her, from a psychological point of view how would a human being react in that type of situation? 9x out of 10 most people would react with fear and obey the orders and commands of the so called "gunman" or else be prepared to face the consequences.
With that being said, Im finding it hard to believe that she left the house when he told her to stay in the house (w/ her life on the line btw), oh wait..but but then she jumped into the front seat of a cab and left? Puh-lease...Wow!
Gimme a break..Talk about blowing things out of epic proportions. Heck, that alone sounds like a movie scene.
