How many of those winning teams took a Right Tackle in the top ten?
Not many, so the Chiefs are thinking out of the box and will set new standards. They will be copied by other teams... well maybe and maybe not. |
Alex Smith was a first-round QB!
Success! |
In general one should try to find a QB with three letters in their name:
Joe Dan Len Ken Bob Tom Ben But longer names of one syllable often work well: Bart John Steve Fran Brett Troy Every Super Bowl from 15 to 40 was won by a QB with a one syllable first name. Out of 46 Super Bowls only the only multi-syllable first named QBs to win are Roger, Terry, Peyton, Aaron, and Eli (three letters!). |
It appears than first names ending in "n" are also good names for QBs.

Alex is a bad name for a QB.
1. More that 3 letters 2. 2 syllables 3. doesn't end in an "n" 4. begins with a vowel No one has ever won a Super Bowl with this combination of features. |

15 have won Super Bowls, which means 14% of all QB's taken in the first round have won a Super Bowl. Of those 15 Super Bowl winning QB's taken in the first round four (27%) won with a team that didn't draft them. |

Is that Billy Joe Tolliver or Billy Joe Hobert?? Tolliver. Who cares, they were both terrible. Remember when Ditka started one of em in NO and in the interviews after the game, the media asked him why he played so terrible, and he said that he hasn't really studied the playbook much, he didn't think he was gonna play?? Awesome for Billy Joe. Good name for QBs - Trent Trent Dilfer - Top 10 draft pick (I wanna say 3rd or 4th overall to Tampa Bay, right??), Super Bowl-winning QB. Now we all agree that Alex Smith can be as good or even better than Dilfer, right??? Hhehehehhehe... |
