Another familiar name, Mike Sherman, HC Alouettes.

Screw him. As a Brett Favre fan, I watched him ruined some prime years. Terrible coach.

For sure. In last nights game he went for it on his own 30 early in the 3rd (with his #2 QB in the game). He was lucky it only turned in to 3.

F**k Favre. As a packer fan, I watched him ruin too many playoff games. But a lot of fun to watch until Holmgren left, and there was no longer anyone around to keep him in line

I like you despite being your Brewers fandom but you are crossing a line. :cuss:
Favre carried trash coaches and defenses in those years. Remember 4th and 26. McCarthy blew the 2007 Championship game with terrible play calling. Why not use Ryan Grant more in freezing weather?

For much as Joe Buck and the NFL blow Rodgers, he only won his Super Bowl because of an elite defense. Hasn't done much in the playoffs lately. And he is terrible at comebacks.

Favre saved Green Bay from being a forgotten frozen tundra.

Then he went to Texas A&M and did nothing. I don't understand why teams keep hiring him. Football nepotism.

My apologies for the outburst. I have been a huge Favre fan since I was four. But I missed the Super Bowl runs so I suffered through the heartbreaking defeats, 4th and 26, the Moss mooning, the 07 and 09 NFC Championship games etc. That last game gutted me as a fan. Such rigged bullshit. I stopped watching/following the NFL until I learned about Carr during his senior year at Fresno. Rest is history.

He was my first hero and since I grew up in Steelers country I always had to be on the defense from entitled Steelers fans who couldn't fathom why I didn't worship their team.

He will always be my hero. Damn, he deserved one more Super Bowl win and the worst part when he made his final two runs the undefeated Patriots and the Hurricane Katrina storylines stole the spotlight. Unlike Lewis and Manning, he didn't have the national media cheering him on for one last title. And when his teams lost it was all his fault according to the hack sportswriters. Not McCarthy's poor play calling or Peterson's multiple fumbles or the Saints' illegal bounty hunting. It was all his fault. They never like that Brett did his own thing. He was too country and uncouth for them.

Ah football. I will never be intently into it as I did when I watched Favre.

No problem. He did have to shoulder the blame in a team sport which is bullshit. I can still hear Joe Buck going on and on about Moss. I'm not going to go into that debacle in St. Louis with all of the interceptions. The last few years of all of the retirement talk did get old, but that's about it when I really think about it

All quarterbacks do and it is dumb. But the funny thing is for some quarterbacks they receive all the praise and escape the blame. Damn media.

I remember that debacle. Great St. Louis team. The only positive was that Favre went down swinging trying to get back into it instead of throwing five yard safe passes.

That was aggravating but I blame the media for asking him in the first place years before it was a yearly occurrence for him to decide. They complained about his retirement while reaping the profits. For 2010, I think he wanted to stay retired then his Vikings teammates flew down to beg him to return and it is tough to say no to friends. But the magic was gone.

Johnny Manziel in Montreal. What could go wrong?
