I'm actually kind of infamous among my friends for yelling at people who analyze their put for 10 minutes before hitting the ball. I've also been known to cuss out foursomes who won't let me play through when I'm by myself or with one other person.

Used to have the same problem. Best remedy? Be the first off the tee every round. My brothers and I play quickly. We get the first tee times and never worry about slow play.

I hate getting up early on the weekend. I'm an afternoon/twilight golfer.

It's equally bad having people in front of you who don't know how to get around a golf course and they won't let you play through and it sucks when you're in a group and no one can be ready to play when it's their turn. They wait to check the yardage, the wind and to choose a club after the other players have played. I hate that.

I'm not a jackass about it. If it's a twosome or threesome and they're moving, then I usually just play 2-3 balls per hole (great way to practice). If they're not moving fast or it's a foursome, I get extremely impatient after 3-4 holes. There are several courses in DFW that I refuse to play because the marshals don't enforce etiquette and the clientele is awful.

Also, I never play with more than two others and I only play with people who play ready golf. I've quit playing with a few of my friends because they play so slow.

Dewcutters.

I love having the first tee time of the day. Nothing better.

I also advocate that faster players swing around and apply their handicap to unplayed holes.

Nothing kills the game like slow players.

Just messing around my friend.

So I signed up, joined the GolfWeek Amateur Tour the Ozarks, MO Tour. It's basically a series of 18 hole tournaments held at various courses throughout the Ozarks.

There's some decent courses on that schedule and it's a chance to compete. The points champion gets to go HH SC for a 54 hole National Tournament. Yeah deep down I think I have a chance.

There are tours all over the country with one in Kansas and one in Arkansas that look to have some decent courses on them.

Unlike last week, the wind subsided a bit. 10-15 S/SE, with a gust to 20. Last week it was gusting to 35MPH.

Had a little trouble off the tee early which resulted in a 45 on the front. Back nine was better, I was hitting down and squaring up very well. Hit 4 drives that were 240/250 (my max). and had pars on 6 of the last 8 holes for a 40. 85 overall.

Even when the "handshake" results in a blown shot, I don't get down. Because when I put together three or 4 good iron shots on consecutive holes, I can almost feel the change in my awareness and how to keep it going.

Good times....

I think that's great. The Hamas Handshake  Was the 40 your best 9 ever?

Anyone here use a Superstroke grip on their putter? If so, how much has it benefited you?

Also seeing a trend of putting belly putter grips on regular length putters...interesting...

Yes it was. I had no idea that I came close to breaking 40 on a nine.

That would be a blast.. I hope you do well. I've played a few of those courses and they are pretty fun.

So it's looking like I'll be playing Porto Cima this weekend, Saturday and maybe Sunday. I've only been on it once, so it will be an interesting test

I had a SS Slim on a Ping Senita for a while last year and didn't really care for it. As always, YMMV.

Yep. Currently have a 5.0 Fatso on a Cameron Futura X.

Thinking of extending it 2" to 37" and putting a 3" clevis pin in the butt end, then putting a 17" grip on it to counterbalance it.

Or, you could just work on your putting
