It seems to be going down. Must be election year.

As opposed to what?

Coach 10-11-2014 02:34 PM

Hoping it still continues to drop down a little bit more.

I don't.

Some are speculating that the Saudis are trying to lower the price where it is unprofitable for the tar sands and fracking so that those operations cease. Then they can raise the price again.

Well, I prefer it does. It makes it more easier for your average Joe.

That doesn't make much sense. If OPEC increases production, yes, crude will drop even more. To the point where new Gulf E&P and shale production stops. If they then lower production and raise prices, those two will start back up.

Now, if they increase production and leave it there...

I'm "an average Joe" too. I like having our domestic output where it is.

$3-$3.50 isn't that bad.

Shut your mouth. If it ever gets back to highschool prices from the mid to late 90s. Then we will talk.

Donger 10-14-2014 02:17 PM

Well, it happened today. Crude fell hard to close at $81.84, down $3.90 or 4.6%

Gasoline at $3.18, which is down $0.10 from a week ago.

If you were in an occupation that required you to travel significant miles you would feel differently. If you were in an occupation that required use of significant amounts of fuel you wouldn't say that.

Gas over $3 is a ball buster.

Personally, I wont be happy until I see it near $2. I still remember how pissed I was the day it went over $2, but that's a workable number.
