Lol I was just thinking - why don't I ever hear of any big blockbuster draft trades?

tk13 09-02-2018 02:50 PM

LMAO Viloria with a bat flip for his first hit. He did smash it though.

Young guys looking good today. Hudler shitfaced...

Fish 09-02-2018 02:56 PM

They just needed to be mathematically eliminated before they could really hit like pennant champs...

That was the best homestand we've had in a while. 7-1.

Should have been playing the young guys all along.

Gordo continuing that push to .250 with 3 hits today.

He is probably going to be 2 WAR player which is about what most figured at this point. It was shit between his contract signing and now that was unexpecteded regardless of what revisionist say now.

Some of it is just part of the learning curve though. Guys like Dozier and Mondesi have definitely made adjustments and are looking better. Junis started great, had a terrible stretch and looks like he's turned it around.

Re: trading Merrifield, his value has to be similar to Adam Eaton’s when the White Sox moved him. Whit is older but the years of control are the same, and he’s cheaper.

That means a top 25 prospect and a top 50 prospect are the asking price.

That seems like a tall ask considering how prospects are being valued.

Seems a little much to me. Just ask for two top 100 picks and another lottery pick.

Good thing no one was asking you. That'd be giving him away. He's had 2 really good years and this year is shaping up to be a very very good year. There aren't many really good 2B. You're such an idiot.

tk13 09-02-2018 07:54 PM

I think the Adam Eaton trade is a good call. Merrifield might be slightly older, but he's way more versatile. He can play every position on the field. He also hits for more power, steals more bases and hits for a better average.

If you're giving up 4 years of that for 6 of someone else you better get 2, if not 3, really solid prospects. Honestly I'd want three. You're giving up 4 years of a guy who can hit 40 doubles, 20 HR and 30 SB while hitting for a .300 average.
