The pattern I've noticed is that it seems to be around $3.85 when I'm out of gas, drops about $0.25 when I have half a tank, and goes back up to $3.85 when I'm out again. :grr:

I saw $3.15.9 here today. Getting there

Do you mean as the national average?

If the economy goes deep enough in the shitter it could. At the height of the recession it got down around $2.00 a gallon in Suburban Chicago.

Yes, both to the national average and the price of the pumps around here.

Smed1065 06-22-2012 01:51 PM

It was 2.97 today.

Filled my tank with mid-grade at $3.36 here in Orlando a couple days ago. I want to say the lowest octane was $3.19. Not too shabby these days.

Okay, just wondering because it has dropped below 3 in some places.

Damn, gas in Chicago must suck all around.

When that happened in Ohio, I saw prices drop to just under 1.30.

heh, i said this same thing probably in this thread around Sept of 2008 when it was around $4.00. 3 or 4 months later around the Holidays, i remember getting it for around $1.30 or $1.40 a gallon.

I'm hoping to eat crow on this one, I really am. Yet I'm skeptical that OPEC will cut production and we'll never see below that $3 mark again.

I'd be surprised if they don't cut production soon.

I doubt crude falls below $70.

It's all relative, I guess. We're so used to getting raped up here that $2.00 felt like they were giving it away. Filing up your car for under $40 in Chicago is like ****ing the prom queen. :D

Donger 06-26-2012 09:58 AM

Crude stabilizing around the $78 mark. Gasoline at $3.42, down from $3.66 one month ago.
