They block the shore line off about 40 yds out so no sharks/barracuda or sea earchants get in to the shore..if you step on a sea earchant,you are in deep shit..barracuda and shark I think you know about..

That seems very odd to me. I have gone diving with sharks numerous times and there is no reason anyone would step on anything while diving-you are supposed to stay off the bottom unless it is sand and I'm pretty sure that urchins cling to coral and rocks. Weird.
