Is that really true? :hmmm:

I like raw onion on burgers, and raw red onion or scallions in salad. Red or white onion cooked on pizza is fine. Otherwise I like onions cooked. So I guess I like 'em both ways depending on the dish.

I said, my kid took the pic and wouldn't send it to me. Apparently her bill went up really high using too much data. See if I can cajole her.

I also sent a few of my vacation shots from June and haven't received them either. Hope she didn't delete. I needed room on my phone and my new HD did not set up an admin drive which is what my phone reads. Have to talk to my tech or go to the Mac store to sort out. Then I can take my own. Just, right now I can't get any off my phone onto my Mac. I've been sending them to her and she emails them back to me because she has a smart phone and I don't.

Ah, misunderstood - I thought your kid was just being a pain or something. :)

Out of curiosity, why not email them to yourself so you can get them on your Mac?

Hmm, I love cream cheese and jalapeno/habanero jelly, but I put it with water crackers/flatbreads/Hi-Hos, not tortilla.

Just take a slice of deer or summer sausage and spread cream cheese on it and add a jalapeņo or the jelly. Voila

ROFL ROFL ROFL

I thought that said "Ho-Hos" on first read. I was like, "W. T. F.?"

Ritz might have been the more apt choice.

I've always had that stuff with Wheat Thins.

I thought you'd developed the ultimate stoner food: Ho-Hos and cream cheese and jalapeno/habanero jelly.

Better SB party staple, this or rye bread bowl with dill dip?

Well, she is sorta. Can't wait her to go back to school. So I can enjoy peace and my way again. :harumph:

Bascially, she was hit with a high bill recently. So she's been stingy. But she'll grab a shot of me mimicking Fergie singing her Lady Humps ( My Humps) song which I love to do. She sends something like that to her friends so they can all laugh.

Don't have a smart phone. Can't do it. It's an inexpensive deal I got being attached to someone else's phone. She pays for her own and will ONLY use an iphone.

I have to get this sorted out. Just haven't had the time. Wish I had a new digital Nikon. Just have my old non-digital one from the late 1980's.

Here ya' go Rob:

Bit of work but it's different. Most sandwiches are just meat, condiments and whatever you want on them. For some reason, I think you want something different. Some other things to try are changing up your condiments: liker adding garlic granules to mayo which I like. Or chili powder, garlic and chipotle into mayo. I do that when I make a Southwestern Veggie Burger but can be done for a regular burger.

Chicken strudel sandwich.
Basically a chicken sandwich in phyllo dough.
  1. Sautee some onion for a few minutes; then some garlic; then add spinach and sautee until it wilts. Takes about 2 mins.
  2. Use chopped cooked chicken and mix with swiss, or any other white cheese, salt and pepper; add some whisked egg, salt and black pepper; then mix it all up.
  3. Place mixture between Phylo dough.
  4. Coat one layer of dough with cooking spray ( or whatever fat you want to make it stick) and about a tablespoon of bread crumbs. Repeat 3 layers more. Press them all together.
  5. Then place chicken, onion, spinach, cheese and egg mixture along long edge of dough with a half inch border, roll-up like a jelly roll and leave seam-side down on a baking sheet covered with spray or whatever you want so it doesn't stick. Tuck ends under.
  6. Brush evenly with some butter and spinkle some paprika on top. Preheat oven to 375° and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

It's really good. I've never frozen it but I guess you could and then just bake 'em.

Dill dip in a landslide.

I am partial to the cream cheese/jelly concoction. It's always a winner. If I'm going with one cream cheese laden dish for my SB party; it's almost always ham/dill pickle/cream cheese pinwheels.

I could eat 70 of those things.
