I mean, that would be incredible. The ratings would be through the roof.

Where did Notre Dame land? Another championship coming their way?

My guess is Pop-Tart Bowl against Kansas State.

Who cares which conference had a winning record against which conference?

Alabama is better than FSU. By a lot too.

And Georgia is better than UW and Michigan and probably Texas. The reasoning behind the selection is fascinating unless the argument is the four best teams that won their respective championship games.

FloridaMan88 12-03-2023 02:21 PM

I can’t believe Michigan opened as a 2.5 point favorite over Alabama.

Only if you're clueless enough to actually believe they're a top 4 team.

Good god. This.

People don't realize they are picking the 4 best teams by considering all the factors.

The starting QB breaking his leg was a significant factor. It sucks for FSU but it's not the fairness selection committee.

Now with that said, only having 4 slots with 5 major conferences was just begging for this scenario to eventually happen.

If I was on the committee, I'd have picked Georgia too.

The early line is -13 for Georgia against FSU. Expect that one to rise.

How many Georgia players sit out though?

Bowl games like that are very scary to bet on.

Iowa State vs Memphis.......again.

Seems like after a while, many bowls are repeats of other bowls a few years ago.

like Iowa/kentucky was.

But they didn’t though.

Florida State would hate me. I'd put them at No. 11. They would be in a big struggle with Mizzou and Penn State to stay in the top 10.

FSU will be more motivated than Georgia in that game which could also influence opt out decisions by the players.

displacedinMN 12-03-2023 02:56 PM

FSU/Georgia will pull in more viewers than the other playoff games.
