Spoiler!

I caught some of it, and I seems like Netflix has caused a lot of this shit. Smith said that these episodes are all one large episode, and that he wasnt aware they all werent being released at once.

He said it made for a nice cliffhanger, whatever that means, but there would be a lot less pissed off people if they were all released at once and you could get the whole story instead of just a piece of it.

I still think its monumentally stupid to have your main draw for the show absent for at least half of your story you are telling, but if you stick the landing, ill give credit where its due.

Having your main draw absent for half of the story, and then Netflix making everyone wait to see the rest, that's absolutely crippling.

Like how many are just not gonna give a shit and not see the rest?

Teela and the Masters of the Universe

It is pretty damn good and you are doing yourself a disservice by not watching.

I watched the first couple episodes and didn't love it, but He-Man was definitely a fair bit before my time. I watched some reruns on the 90s and that's about as far as I've gone with the show so most of these characters mean nothing to me.

I'll probably finish it because the episodes are short and it's easy to get through. It definitely hasn't piqued my interest just yet, though.

Agreed. Netflix should've released all of the episodes at once though.

lawrenceRaider 07-27-2021 01:44 PM

Is there a release date for the remaining episodes?

Beef Supreme 07-27-2021 03:20 PM

So ...they're saying it would be preferable to watch He-man sing hey-ya for 10 hours straight than watch this show?

It's not about a cartoon it's all children's media. Comics, games, movies, books, etc. Things change. Times change. That's fine and they should.

You don't have to destroy and subvert one thing for another to succeed. And these things aren't just changed or updated it's done with malice.

Hoping Jar Jar Bin...errr Orko is gone forever. Didn't care for him as a kid.

Evil Lyn still makes the balls tingle 35 years later though.

Add Lena Headey's voice to Evil Lyn, and yeah.....

I haven't watched it yet and I probably won't, ever. He man toys were my jam back in the day. they were probably the best value for the money out of any toy line. I never watched the original cartoon. it wasn't popular. not at all.

I think its funny Kevin Smith tried to come out with a litmus test to determine who are the hardcore fans. the he man cartoon had no fans. the toys could sell on their own and they came with digest sized comic books that featured better art than the TV show.

If you're a fan of He-Man you should listen to a Tom Kalinske interview. He was CEO of Mattel back in the early 80s. he saved the company by revitalizing matchbox cars, and rescuing Barbie. He-man was another disaster that he saved. Mattel originally bought rights to the Conan the Barbarian movie. they had already started production on the figures. but they had to abandon the Conan name because the movie had a hard R rating. Instead of taking a loss, Kalinske decided to build a kid friendly barbarian brand from scratch.
